    If you’re feeling stuck, just be honest. Honesty is one of the hardest things to come by it seems. It seems even more difficult to truly trust oneself. To be raw and vulnerable and seen. There has been some hesitation on my part to show up more in social media, to create videos again, to share what I’m currently working on (besides the highlight reel), because in some way, I still feel like I don’t have things “figured out.” I’m quickly realizing, however, it must be an ego thing to get caught up on how what I portray out to the world for “who I am” is going to be perceived. If I truly love myself, I can bare it all. And perhaps that will help inspire others to do the same, as well as, teach me that I am enough exactly as I am. Deep topic. Raw topic.     Episode 152: You Can't Outsmart Burnout- 3 Signs You're Headed There!

    In this week’s podcast episode, I dive into 3 signs that you may be headed for burnout. As a creative entrepreneur, there is often this push to just keep on at it because you want IT really bad, BUTTTT perhaps there are contributing factors to the burnout that can be taken care of so that you don’t experience a big crash. Speaking from real personal experience, I just underwent a mini burnout last week that left me bed-ridden for 3 days straight! The body does not lose count no matter how strong your mental may be; if you push yourself past a certain limit for an extended period of time, it will catch up. Listen in to see if you are currently in need of a mental self-check-in to truly evaluate how you are doing as you create your path. Lastly, if you take away anything from this episode, let it be a reminder that taking time for yourself and checking in with YOU, is indeed an act of self-love. And there is no shame in that or pausing, or taking a break.     Episode 151: I DIDN'T Get The Massive Opportunity I REALLY Wanted....Now What?

    In today’s podcast episode, I am being very raw and vulnerable sharing about how I got rejected from something that I REALLY REALLY WANTED. This is something that I felt I was called to, gave my best effort for, and started to visualize what this opportunity could do for me. But I got rejected. And even with getting rejected, I choose to celebrate because there is always a positive side to things (if you choose to see it). What I am most proud of from this setback is how I was able to reframe and handle it; instead of allowing the negative self-talk to escalate, I flipped the script, really tuned into what I needed, acknowledged where I’m at currently in life and chose to celebrate anyways. Life is not defined by our achievements or milestones; it’s actually all the things in between- the inner growth, how we feel, how we impact others, what we CHOOSE to do.     Ever feel like you’re not where you should be? Social media comparison makes you feel like you’re behind, or perhaps you feel like there’s something else you want to pursue in life, but how do you even get started? As someone super familiar with this stuck feeling, I have learned that there really are two sides to this coin. On the one hand, it can disable you and leave you feeling less than you truly are; on the other, it can be a beautiful period of self-growth, exploration, creativity, and really getting to know yourself.     Episode 149: Delayed Gratification is a GOOD Thing

    Do you have patience when it comes to trusting the road ahead? When it comes to creating your path, such as taking the road of entrepreneurship or following your passion, delayed gratification is almost a pre-requisite for being able to “make it.” The amount of work, sacrifice, understanding, grit, and heart that it takes to stick with your path can easily result in burnout or a feeling of “not being enough” when the reward doesn’t come quickly. So here is a little reminder that in order to truly transform, the attitude of GROWING with the flow is a must. Leading with the reward in mind oftentimes results in frustration and can actually stunt one’s growth because the end goal (in my opinion) should not be on the outcome; it should be on what the return of one’s investment of time and energy is. That’s where the real magic is. I share more about how delaying my own gratification allowed me to have a career in chocolate that I truly loved, and how this attitude carries in my work ethic and activities I’m involved in, today.     Episode 148: Measuring Success as Happiness

    As a retired workaholic, life has never felt so good. I have never felt quite so at peace with myself, and a huge part of it has been releasing this idea that success is achievement-based. Instead, I’ve adopted the viewpoint that success is happiness, and on a day to day basis, I’ve been consistently happy as of late. In today’s podcast episode, I share a perspective shift when it comes to measuring success, including being aware of marketing traps which promise financial success as a means of finally being happy, being able to know what truly is valuable for you, and taking a gut check to evaluate whether the path you’re currently on is one you actually enjoy. Times are a changing- let’s not use our achievements as the only standards to hold ourselves up to, and instead, work on making our day to day one we feel as good about as possible.     Episode 147: Importance of having Quality Relationships

    When it comes to creating your path, the importance of having quality relationships in your life is not talked about enough. There’s a saying that the road to the top is a lonely one, and as a former workaholic who was constantly on the grind, I can relate to sacrificing quality relationships for the sake of obtaining a goal. On the flip side of the coin, I’ve also experienced what it’s like when the quality of relationships falls short and it can feel very transactional to interact with people, or as if people stay in my life just to gossip about whatever I’m up to. As I’m getting older, I’ve started creating new relationships simply for the joy of it and simply because the exchange fills me up. I hope to continue investing into these people as best as I can so that when it is time to celebrate a big win or heck, just life, I won’t be standing alone. Life is too short to just be consumed in what you do. Take notice of the people who support you and be mindful to pour into them just as much (if not more) than they pour into you.     Happy new podcast, y’all. Here are 3 things that you can start doing for yourself so that you are as happy as freakin’ possible. And yes, this podcast was recorded whilst on a huge happiness high! Call me an optimist, but I do believe that we have a CHOICE when it comes to how happy we get to be. It truly is all about perspective. As life has shifted quite a lot for me over the last year, I’ve really been in tune with myself, what I want, who I am, and how best to handle my emotions on a day to day basis. The combination of literally putting myself in positive spaces, taking up fun hobbies, learning more about Positive Intelligence (a facts and data-based research approach to positive psychology), plus truly healing a lot of core wounds via therapy the last few months has resulted in an overall increased happiness for life as a whole. I feel like certain things in life are unlocking and I just had to share 3 things that have truly made the difference for me, because I know that they can be applied to YOU .
