12 | Loving Your Neighbor As Yourself: Thoughts on Identity in Christ, 1 Corinthians 13 & Luke 7

12 | Loving Your Neighbor As Yourself: Thoughts on Identity in Christ, 1 Corinthians 13 & Luke 7

Dear Friend,Loving others isn't always easy! Our neighbors can be anyone the Lord puts into our lives- parents in the stands, another coach’s wife on staff, an athlete in need, family members OR literally the people in the house next door to yours! And as a coaching family you might encounter many different neighbors throughout the years as you move from place to place, but no matter who it is, we are called to love others with God's love.
And that's not something we can do on our own.So if you are struggling to love others, or even struggling to feel love-able yourself, look to Jesus and remember the cross. Understanding our identity in the gospel and experiencing God’s love personally is key to loving others!I hope you can join in today as we look at Scripture together, and you won't want to miss the message of encouragement from our CWM Community Care Leader, Angel Burdette!Love to you all,Candace

11 | Loving God With All Your Soul: A Conversation About the Priority of the Word

Dear Friend,Just as we experience physical weariness, our souls can be weary as well, and Jesus tells us to come to Him to find rest. Taking our needs to the Lord and finding our fulfillment in Him is essential to loving Him with all that we are! This episode is an honest conversation with Cindy Wild, and she shares personal stories of life as a coach's wife and what she has learned about loving God with all her soul by abiding in His Word. I know you will be blessed!Love to you all,CandaceCindy Wild is passionate about the Word of God. She has been serving as a Coaches' Wives Ministry mentor since 2019, helping women in our community learn to spend time daily with Jesus. 10 | Loving God With All Your Heart: Thoughts on Treasuring God and a Simple Strategy for Reflection

10 | Loving God With All Your Heart: Thoughts on Treasuring God and a Simple Strategy for Reflection

Dear Friend,When life is busy, we don't always pay attention to what's going on inside of our hearts. We might feel like we're just functioning on auto-pilot, but the truth is, our hearts are probably leading the way. The word "heart" occurs over 800 times in Scripture, and many of those verses show us how plans, decisions, actions, words and thoughts all flow out of the heart, so it's not surprising that we are commanded to love God with all of it!The Lord calls us to treasure Him supremely, but it's easy for our "loves" to get out of order! So in this short episode, we are taking a moment to do a heart check as we continue our series on loving God with all that we are.Love to you all!Candace

Dear Friend,If you are weary and exhausted, please know that there is hope! Our God is not tired in the least, and He shows us through His Word how to love Him with all our strength by His strength. 08 | Loving God With All Your Mind: A Conversation about Mental Health

08 | Loving God With All Your Mind: A Conversation about Mental Health

Dear Friend,Although sometimes God does ask us to trust and obey without explanation, Mark 12:29-31 is not one of those times! Jesus clearly and simply explains the greatest commandment He has for us, and that is to love God and to love others- technically two commands that cannot be separated! Jesus is also specific in His explanation. He doesn't just say to love God, but to love Him specifically with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. In the upcoming episodes, we are going to look at what it all means and how to love God with all that we are in these four areas! We are starting this series with a conversation about mental health- what it is, why it's important for our relationship with God, how we can love God with our minds and how we can bring the gospel into our own brokenness and into the lives of those who are hurting around us.
I'm so excited for you to hear from our special guest today, and I'm looking forward to what God will do over the next few weeks!Love to you all,Candace

Timely

Not much is more beneficial in the life of a coach’s wife than community. CWM offers that and so much more to me, and my whole family. The ministry as a whole has poured into my heart from day one! This podcast is God-breathed encouragement to my heart and I’m so excited to dive in each week! ❤️

Love this podcast!

This podcast has only just started and I am already loving it…and I am not even a coach’s wife. I find everything that Candace has shared so far in the episodes to be so relatable and anchored on God’s word. It is so true that wherever we are placed is our mission field and we can hold onto God in the midst of any battle or warfare we are in. Looking forward to listening more! ~ Anna

Great podcast for sports wives and moms

Candace Lane is a GEM. If you are the wife of a coach, or even the mom of a player, you will feel seen and known by Candace. Her experience as a coach’s wife, mother of three collegiate athletes, missionary in Brazil, and founder of a non-profit are SO valuable and helpful. Her voice and spirit are soft and encouraging… and her words are practical, real, inspiring, and easy but powerful to apply in your daily life. She knows what it’s like to be in the valleys and trenches of life… and she has a lot to share about Who can help us in those seasons. Highly recommend.
