This episode features staff member Umayyah speaking about her experiences in the UK as a Pakistani woman, and connecting with her culture in her early 20's alongside diving into assimilation and her perspective of euro-centrism.

Akeisha, our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Development Lead, is interviewing Black staff members and people we support to learn more about their culture, heritage, traditions and lives. In our next episode of ‘Your Voice Your Story’, Akeisha speaks with Chinelo, a Support Worker who talks about her experiences as a Nigerian, Igbo woman. She discusses the New Yam Festival, a cherished part of her culture and community, and lots of other important celebrations and traditions.
