The importance of stories

I love listening to Amy’s stories and her thought process. Story telling is so important and is how we learn from others. I like listening while I’m doing my own creative project or before bed. I also have learned about some new challenges I want to do once they come up again like the icad. Thanks Amy for allowing us to be with you on your creative journey.

Perfect for finding daily creativity inspiration

This show is one woman’s thoughts and explorations on how a person can fit creative practice into your day-to day life (drawing, sketching, visual journaling, writing, or whatever else creativity means to you). Perfect for creative types who need prompts, encouragement, ideas about creativity-related books, sketching processes, and how to fit creativity into your day. Also some of the shows have draw-along segments so you can listen to another person talking while you do a creative task yourself.

Very soporific

It’s nice to listen to Amy for content, but this is a superb podcast for anyone struggling with insomnia. She has a soul-stilling delivery, and she just talks to herself and goes on and on about whatever artsy idea is crossing her mind, so instead of listening to the chatter in your head, you get to listen to the chatter in her head. Rather than worrying about your rent coming due as you try to sleep, you can simply listen to Amy blather on about an art book, or a paintbrush or some such thing, and, before you know it, you’re out like a light. Highly recommended.
