Why Creativity Has Been Squashed Out Of You
I don’t believe there is such a thing as the wrong way to be creative.
Creativity, for me, is about the process. It is about exploration, the journey, not the end result.
In this episode, I explore why, as adults, our creativity has been squashed out of us and I share a reframe so that you can start to reclaim your creativity.
This is a solo episode with just little old me and my musings.
Happy listening!

Ultimate Career Pivot: Political Lobbyist to Fantasy Author
If you are thinking about a creative career but the fear of leaving your current industry and “starting again” is holding you back, then this episode is a must listen.
I had the opportunity to speak with J.V. Hilliard, about his epic career journey pivot; from political lobbyist to published fantasy author.
And, his story doesn’t end there; with new books, an Augmented Reality game and a graphic novel on the horizon, this is a good news story that will inspire you to take the leap and follow your creative dreams.

Creativity Is How We Connect The Dots
Dr Marion Piper joins me on Creativity: Uncovered to unpack what creativity means to her and ~ spoiler alert ~ it is not just about creative practice. For Marion, it is a way of thinking, an exploration and a way of “connecting the dots”.
This explains why her Ph.D is all about using creativity for post-traumatic growth.
In this episode we discuss the relationship between trauma, mental health and creativity, and how creativity is not just good for you, it can actually be healing too.
Happy listening!

Perfectionism Ain't So Perfect
I always thought that perfectionism was a good thing. A gold star for having high standards.
However, perfectionism isn’t always positive. Sometimes it can hold you back, stop you from pushing yourself and keep you from achieving your goals.
In this episode, I was joined by Kiara Johnson, a neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner, who helps people make changes in their lives, including new ways of thinking, shifting their mindset and getting rid of limiting beliefs.
She sheds some light on perfectionism, how you can work with it (not against it) the next time you get a creative block.

Clean Home, Clean Mind
Can decluttering help you become more creative?
My guest this episode, Mel Jay, says not only can it boost your creativity, but it can make you happier and give you more time for family, friends and hobbies.
Mel is a Sydney-based decluttering coach, a podcaster and content creator, who is on a mission to help busy mums regain balance in their life. Mel joined me on Creativity: Uncovered to discuss her relationship with creativity, her journey as a video content creator, the danger of social media metrics, and the unexpected benefits of decluttering.
A big thank you to Mel for sharing your tips on creativity and decluttering!

Creativity as a Business Owner
Having a small business really gives you a great opportunity to flex your creative muscles. After all, when the team is small, you have to wear many hats to get things done.
In this episode, I discuss the creativity that comes with being a small business owner, with the lovely Sasha Eburne.
A search for creativity (and a little thing called ‘Rona), prompted Sasha to take the leap and start her own Virtual Assistant business. Now she has grown her business, and coaches others to do the same.
