Welcome to Creators Are Brands, hosted by Tom Boyd. This is the show that explores how solo creators and storytellers are building brands online. From the mindsets, to the tactics, to the business side, I am fascinated how these individuals are building brands around their individualities. In this show, we learn what’s working, so we can apply that to your mission. We talk to creators, their teams, the platforms that power them. Welcome to the Creators Are Brands Podcast the show that discovers how storytellers and solo creators are building businesses online. This show is part of the Hubspot podcast network, the audio destination for business professionals.
In this episode we talk to Ksenia Brief.
She’s a full-time creator and host of the podcast Web8.
She’s been everywhere on social media, exploring multiple iterations of her creator brand, from being recognized in cafes across the world for her breakfast bowls, to mega successful course launches, to Buzzfeed, to producing a hit podcast, where she uses her conversations and content, to help you share your unique gifts and build a magnetic online presence while actually enjoying the process.
In a world where everyone is telling us to speed up, we talk about intentionally slowing down to create more of what you love, how to create your own algorithm, we talk about her integrated holistic way of working with sponsors (that i encourage you to borrow), why she stopped selling courses even though they were bringing in crazy money, how to re-frame feelings of jealousy or comparison of other creators, why she’s quitting being an influencer, and stay to the very end and she shares a strategy for connecting with your audience through every digital thing you make.

How to start your podcast (The EXACT strategy I shared on a coaching call)

Listen in on this strategy call with my friend as I help her think about the positioning of her new podcast and how she should approach her first ten episodes.
Tori is already a successful entrepreneur, as the owner and creative director of a content marketing agency called Camelot Creative Co, which is essentially her one woman media shop that produce content and provides strategy in the luxury real estate space.
Now she’s looking to build a podcast from scratch to scale her experience, ideas, and curiosity to help other likeminded creative entrepreneurs.
Use the frameworks from this call to think about the launch of your show!

In this episode of "Creators Are Brands" podcast, powered by the HubSpot Podcast Network, the audio destination for business professionals, I talk to Night and Josh of the Juvy podcast.
They’re teenagers, 16 and 18, who saw a gap in the market for a podcast for… teenagers.
Their show has became a top 1.5% podcast globally, on top of building a large audience on TikTok of 100K as a result of their fire clips
In this episode…
We talk about their production process
What equipment they use
Why they started with the cheapest mics on Amazon
Their collaborative relationship and how they split up roles, the reason one of their episodes blew up, we get into the business side
I even have them do an impromptu pitch for brands to advertise on their show
If you’re in the process of trying to build an audience at any point in your creative career, not just a teenager, this episode with Night and Josh is for you

Great tips fun pod
As a burgeoning content creator, Toms tips are practical, engaging and actionable. Excited to keep listening!
I started a Tik Tok account at the beginning of 2022 to promote my business, never having used social media in a serious way (not on Facebook and not active on Instagram). To my shock, it grew beyond what I was ready for and started getting attention from brands, partnerships, etc. I literally had no idea what to do. Enter Creators are Brands.
Tom provides such incredible insight and information and has AMAZING guests. He has a unique way of getting them to share their expertise. It is so helpful and informative that on sometimes feel guilty about it being free LOL.
I’m so grateful to him, and must say that his warm and bright personality is the cherry on top. He is clearly genuine, natural, curious, and one-of-kind. Thank you, Tom!!!
Listen to this podcast!!!
Tom’s style is incredible. And he does a great job interviewing each creator to really help you understand how to be a successful brand. 10/10.
