Crispy Coated Robots

This is one of the finer podcasts out there. I listen to a lot of shows and sometimes I think that the person doing the podcast is clearly winging it or just talking into the microphone without any real plan or outline about what they’re saying. With The Crispy Coated Robots, you get to hear two guys who are on a serious mission: To entertain you. The premise is to save all of the mostly trivial data and knowledge we’ve accumulated in our lifetimes. But if you're like me, you’ll quickly find yourself engaged with the show and screaming at your phone because Jim or George left out something that they should’ve had on one of their Top 5 list. You’ll laugh when they bicker and disagree, and you’ll learn something new. Their album reviews are excellent, but it would be lovely if they had an extremely generous sponsor to help them pay for the rights to copyrighted music. Come on, sponsors. Help save the future! Update: In the newest season, there's a new Crispy Coated Robot and it's a very clever addition. Episode #83 (Lost Songs/Ointments) is an instant claassic. Like Frasier being added to Cheers, like Neil Young being added to CSN, and like Lando being added to Star Wars, the new addition of Joseph (Nebulor!) to the Crispy Coated Robots Universe raises the stakes that the future will/will not be saved. Even more so, the banter and bickering between Jim, George and Joseph increases likelihood that Crispy Coated Robots will become your favorite podcast -- even if it means the earth is doomed. (Or is it?)
