Do you have a favorite tv show or movie that just makes you feel at home when watching it? It never fails to delight you and leaves you wanting more? That's The Smellcast. This podcast has a vaudevillian production style mixed with a variety show mixed with personal journal content and I dare you not to fall in love with not only Toppie himself, but his ensemble of characters as well. The passion and true talent that go into his carefully crafted show is evident not only in the story but also in the soundscape that he presents to you with story arcs that delight time and time again. And the personal journal episodes are a wonderful peek behind the curtain that really give you that personal connection. I leave this review with no sarcasm and I am not over exaggerating my love for this little show, but if you enjoy old time radio, or the fun soap operas of days gone by that were tongue in cheek but creative, shocking, bold and fun, with a pinch of personal content then you can't go wrong with The Smellcast. Truly top notch podcasting at its finest.
