Genesis 5:21–24 | Enoch — a man walks with God

Preacher: Jeremiah Fyffe Genesis 5:21–24, Hebrews 11:5–6 Genesis 5:21–24 | Enoch — a man walks with God from CrossPointe Coast on Vimeo. ENOCH WE WERE MADE TO WALK WITH GOD Requires Removal of Enmity Requires Reconciliation Requires Justification WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD THE WALK OF FAITH Amos 3:3 (ESV) Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet? Romans 5:10–11 (ESV) For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Romans 5:1 (ESV) Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:1 (ESV) There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 5:5 (ESV) and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 14:23 (ESV) For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. John 15:5 (ESV) I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. Romans 7:22–23 (ESV) For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Exodus 3:14 (ESV) God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’ ” Numbers 23:19 (ESV) God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? Psalm 16:11 (ESV) You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Romans 8:38–39 (ESV) For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Revelation 21:3 (ESV) Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

  2. Romans 8:31–39 | What Shall We Say Then?

Romans 8:31–39 | What Shall We Say Then?

Preacher: Jeremiah Fyffe Romans 8:31–39 Romans 8:31–39 | What Shall We Say Then? from CrossPointe Coast on Vimeo. WHAT THEN SHALL WE SAY? WHO CAN BE AGAINST US? WHO SHALL BRING ANY CHARGE? WHO SHALL SEPARATE US? Before the Throne of God Above When Satan tempts me to despair And tells me of the guilt within, Upward I look and see him there, Who made an end of all my sin. Because the sinless Savior died, My sinful soul is counted free, For God the just is satisfied To look on him and pardon me Romans 3:26 (ESV) It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Before the throne of God above Before the throne of God above I have a strong and perfect plea: A great High Priest whose name is Love, Who ever lives and pleads for me. My name is graven on his hands, My name is written on his heart. I know that while in Heav'n he stands No tongue can bid me thence depart, Colossians 3:3 (ESV) For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 2 Corinthians 4:8–11 (ESV) We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. Ephesians 1:4–7 (ESV) In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace Matthew 5:11–12 (ESV) Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. D. A. Carson I do not think what the Bible says about the love of God can long survive at the forefront of our thinking if it is abstracted from the sovereignty of God, the holiness of God, the wrath of God, the providence of God, the personhood of God, to mention only a few non-negotiable elements of basic Christianity. The result, of course, is the love of God in our culture has been purged of anything the culture finds uncomfortable. The love of God has been sanitized, democratized, and, above all, sentimentalized.

Romans 8:18-25 | What We’ve All Been Waiting For

Preacher: Jeremiah Fyffe Romans 8:18-25 Romans 8:18-25 | What We’ve All Been Waiting For from CrossPointe Coast on Vimeo. THERE IS NO COMPARISON CREATION WAITING CREATION GROANING SAVED IN HOPE 2 Corinthians 4:17 (ESV) For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison Hebrews 12:1–2 (ESV) … let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Colossians 3:1–4 (ESV) If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Philippians 3:20–21 (ESV) But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. 2 Timothy 4:8 (ESV) Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. John Murray Not till then will the children of God be made manifest to themselves and others in the plenitude of their status and privilege as sons, and not until they are all glorified together with Christ will the body of Christ be manifested in its integrity and unity. Isaiah 55:12 (ESV) For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Revelation 22:20 (ESV) He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! 2 Corinthians 5:6 (ESV) So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 2 Corinthians 5:8 (ESV) Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
