Great Content! But too many different things in one basket.

Crosspolitic has been a hugely beneficial discovery for me! But I agree with some other folks. You guys should separate the the other shows into their own podcasts! It’s a lot to comb through, and most peeps don’t listen to every single show on here.

Undilute this mess!

CrossPolitic is great! I very much appreciate and enjoy the “CP” podcast, but all of these others on here just muddy the stream. Some of the others are okay, but some are just bad. And to make matters worse: if you subscribe to the podcast, you get notifications whenever any of this other mess posts a new episode, and you have to comb through the feed to find the good stuff. Can’t you also provide a separate CrossPolitic feed that doesn’t include all this other stuff?

And to Chocolate Knox: I love you, brother, and I super-appreciate your perspective on just about every issue. But when you tell people, “If you’re single, get married,” doesn’t that sound a bit of a 1 Corinthians 7:8 alarm in your mind? You’re essentially reversing the instruction of Paul. Now, I’ve read 1 Corinthians 7:2 as well, and I know the issue is much more complex, but still it seems a little foolhardy to end each show with an instruction that sounds like the opposite of what Paul has said. Also, there is no place in the Scriptures where it says anything remotely like, “and if you have kids, baptize them.” I know that you guys are Presbyterian, and so this kind of covenant family idea goes with the territory, but you are still giving an instruction that can’t be substantiated by a Scriptural command. It’s the same as someone saying “If you’re over 30 and married, go adopt at least two children.” Now, that may be a good thing to do, but you better not make it a command, because the Scriptures do not command it. See what I’m saying?

Addendum: I had to up the rating to 5 stars because CrossPolitic really is my favorite show, and I’m actually starting to dig some of the other stuff on here. I will say, though, that The Patriarchy Podcast needs to take the background music out. It’s distracting.

Clanging Cymbals

I was initially drawn to this podcast because the men are solid theologically and it was satisfying to see them tear down heresies and the lies of the culture. However, as I continued to listen, I realized that that is all they did. There was not much if not any talk that was “building up” but only tearing down, and not just pagans but faithful men of God like Tim Keller, Sam Alberry, etc. Because they are very entertaining, I continued to listen but the Lord started to show me that it was toxic for my soul and actually made me more divisive and proud with other believers. This could absolutely be because of my own sin and immaturity, either way, this podcast is not for me.
