Hieu Pham of Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity
Crossroads was joined by Hieu Pham of Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity to discuss domestic violence in the API and immigrant communities. Monsoon is an organization serving victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Iowa.
Hieu is focused on addressing gender-based violence by providing direct services and performing systems advocacy and community outreach. She is a former journalist who worked as a government reporter for the Iowa City Press-Citizen and covered political news for Agence France-Presse. She has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Iowa.
