    It's been far too long, but Amanda Deibert returns to the Cryptid Creator Corner to discuss the new comic from one of my favorite cartoons: TaleSpin. That's right, Dynamite has reunited the team of Amanda and Carlo Lauro from Darkwing Duck to bring to life more adventures of Baloo and Kit Cloudkicker. Amanda discusses her excitement about this project, the success of Darkwing Duck, the sources of inspiration for her sense of humor, and switching from writing comics for younger readers to her full on horror work for Storm King Comics.     Arianna Irwin Interview - Penelope's Escape from the Platypusary

    Arianna Irwin joins me to discuss her new Maverick graphic novel Penelope's Escape from the Platypusary. Arianna collaborated with artist Prenzy for a dramatic fictionalized retelling of Penelope the Platypus' escape from the Bronx Zoo in 1957. This is an incredible graphic novel that turns Penelope into the feminist icon she was always meant to be. It's filled with so many incredible characters and Prenzy's art is emotive and captivating. Arianna and I chat about the why she wanted to tell Penelope's story, working with Prenzy, what she hopes readers take away from it, and how she got her start in comics.
