Pivot

Listening to Scott carry on about an inspiring, educated and well spoken young man, being voted as mayor of New York, with the help of 68% of young men, is rich. I just want to bring up a previous episode where Scott’s response to the (illegal BTW) firings of Federal Government Employees with a flippant response of it happening in the public sector all the time. As someone who raised their right hand swearing an oath to this country and is now close to retirement, as a traumatized, furloughed Federal Government Employee (and still working) RN, I just want you to know that those words stung. I made the decision to become a RN to help people and took this position to serve the veterans and their families. I thought your response was dismissive to someone like me. I really do wish I had enough cash to just retire right now and not depend on my pension. But that’s not the choice I made. Lucky you, Scott. Life. Is. So. Rich. Thanks for acknowledging the pain we are going through, Kara. It is a very difficult time for anyone with critical thinking skills and empathy right now. It really is.

Thanks for bringing your voices & perspectives to the mix. It’s calming to me to hear your versions of insider perspective. Who wouldn’t trust a tech lesbian who knows the tech bros? I’m in & please keep it up!

Normally love your show but I had to fast forward thru Curtis sliwa bloviating during his interview. I could not listen to his canned metaphors and righteous indignation.

I really liked this podcast. Kara and Scott are knowledgeable, witty, and have a great dynamic together. But I hit a wall. First, I started to get annoyed by all the name dropping. Then I started to see that the name dropping just one of many mutual pats on the back they give each other throughout the podcast. Yes, you both are amazing, congratulations. Aren’t you lucky? Then, Scott started to sound like a broken record. Somebody on reddit said he was phoning it in, but I think it’s just as much him trying to sell more books. Same stats, same talking points, same, same, same. And so now I just can’t stomach it anymore. Maybe it’s time for them to Pivot.
