The CSPII (Center for the Study of Political Islam International) is an independent non-profit research and educational organization. Our concern is with the ideological doctrine of Islam that relates to Kafirs (non-Muslims), and, therefore, is political. We define this part of the doctrine as “Political Islam”.

    Zohran Mamdani captured the NYC mayoral election riding a wave not only of popularity but also of controversy. He was once an aspiring rapper with a song giving his love to the convicted jihadists (sentenced to up to 65 years in prison for terrorism-related crimes) known as the "Holy Land Five."     Islam is a complete civilization. Islamic doctrine encompasses its own regulatory system for financial matters and commerce. There is tremendous pressure on non-Islamic (Kafir) markets to make room for Islamic financial products. However, doing so comes at a price. Islamic (Sharia-compliant) banking and businesses divert money away from Kafir markets because Islamic doctrine requires Muslims to always make the Sharia-compliant choice if it is available. Furthermore, Islamic businesses as well as individuals are required to pay zakat, which is an Islamic tax. The spending of collected zakat money is strictly regulated by the Islamic doctrine itself. One of eight allowed spending categories (Koran 9:60) is to finance jihad (violent and/or non-violent). Every time Kafirs (either knowingly or unknowingly) spend money in the Islamic market they are indirectly paying for the jihad that is being conducted against them.     Political Islam in Schools | Coffee & PI Podcast #10

    There is no area of life that Islam does not touch, including education. Islamic Studies departments in universities tightly control the narrative so that students spend years learning about Islam without any exposure to its political aspects. If jihad is discussed at all, it is portrayed as the internal, personal struggle of conscience to be a better Muslim (which is non-violent) and violent jihad is barely discussed, if at all. But it is violent jihad that affects society. In middle school and high schools, non-Muslim students are often encouraged by teachers to show solidarity with their fellow (Muslim) students by fasting for Ramadan. Worse yet, in places like Austria where Muslim students make up a high percentage of the student body, there have been cases of Muslim boys bullying other students (especially girls) into saying the shahada or wearing a hijab.     Submission and Political Islam

    Islam is built on the principles of submission and dualism. The very word Islam means submission. It does not mean peace. But submission to what and who submits? The submission must be to the doctrine of Islam. The doctrine starts with the Koran, which says that all of the world must pattern every detail of their life on what Mohammed said and did, the Sunna. All of the world must submit to the Koran and the Sunna of Mohammed. Another way of saying this is that all of the world must submit to be ruled by the Sharia. The Koran and the Hadith say that all of the world, every single person, must submit to Islam and obey the Sharia. So the concept of submission is absolutely totalitarian.     Dhimmi in Political Islam

    Everyone has heard the categories of Muslim and non-Muslim or Kafir, but few have heard of Islam’s third social category, the dhimmi. Under Islamic rule, Christians and Jews could convert to Islam and become full citizens. If they chose to remain a Christian or Jew, they could pay a special tax, called the jizyah and become a semi-slave called a dhimmi. In addition to the semi-slave status, a dhimmi is humiliated and subjugated. The first dhimmis were the Jews of Khaybar. After their defeat by Mohammed, they lost their land and possessions and had to live under Sharia law. The Jews continued to farm the land, but had to give Mohammed half of their income, the jizyah tax. It was the dhimmi status which caused the collapse of Christianity in places like the Middle East and Turkey. Today the word dhimmi is also applied to those who are apologists for Islam. Dhimmitude is the mental condition of those who are not Muslims, yet support Islam in the media and politics.

    Women and Political Islam

    Politics affects our everyday lives, whether we are involved or not. Political decisions affect how much tax we pay, the rules we follow, and the lives we lead. It influences our dress, culture, and way of life. The very freedoms men and especially women enjoy in non-Islamic societies stem from non-Islamic political systems and thought. However, Islam is a complete civilization, a religion, a culture, and a political system. Its political system has a special interest in you-irrespective of your interest in it. We call this system - Political Islam. This interest is so profound that 51% of Islamic doctrine is devoted to the Kafir (non-Muslim). This doctrine comes from the Koran, Hadith, and Sira, the trilogy of its sacred texts. The politics of Islam prove problematic to Kafir women, as its doctrine violates our laws and systems, which are based on the principles of equality for all and freedom of speech and thought. There are two sections of the Koran (Meccan and Medinan); this allows the doctrine to treat women in a dualistic way. There are verses that praise the mother above all men and say that women and men will be judged equally as to their actions on Judgment Day. At the same time, 71% of the Koran states that a woman has a lower status than a man. In the Hadith, 91% of the text states that a woman has lower status than a man. According to the Islamic doctrine, every woman is lower than a man, and every Kafir woman is lower than a woman who follows Islam. Also, a Kafir woman can be used as a sex-slave and raped; this is morally acceptable in Islam, as Mohammed himself had non-Muslim captives whom he used as sex-slaves.
