Trey Yesavage’s historic World Series start has Blue Jays one win away from title + Game 6 in Toronto preview

The 2025 edition of the World Series has taken some serious twists and turns, including the historic 18-inning Game 3. However, what the baseball world witnessed in Game 5 was something that nobody — including the Toronto Blue Jays — could’ve possibly imagined. The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays knew that Game 3 of this World Series would be pivotal, but neither could have imagined it would take 18 innings to decide a winner. Ohtani’s greatest game ever sends Dodgers back to the World Series + ALCS comes down to Game 7

When Shohei Ohtani hit the 50-50 milestone last season in Miami, many thought it was one of the greatest single performances in baseball history. Little did they know, Ohtani would go on to deliver an even more impressive feat in a series-clinching game that sent his Los Angeles Dodgers back to the World Series, just one year after winning the Commissioner’s Trophy. On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman break down what might be the most impressive game ever played in baseball, in which Ohtani pitched six shutout innings, struck out ten, allowed zero earned runs, and hit three home runs en route to the Dodgers clinching the National League pennant. Then the guys talk about the Milwaukee Brewers’ unfortunate showing against a juggernaut like the Dodgers. Also in this episode, Jake and Jordan preview the upcoming Game 7 that will decide the ALCS between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Seattle Mariners. Dodgers on verge of back-to-back NL titles, Blue Jays even ALCS to guarantee a series return to Toronto

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday night and are now just one win away from repeating as National League champions, with hopes of back-to-back World Series titles in their sight. The Brew Crew will need to channel some of the 2004 Boston Red Sox magic to overcome their 0–3 deficit but it won’t be easy, especially considering who they’ll be facing in Game 4. On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss yet another stellar pitching performance from the Dodgers, with their staff allowing only one run in Game 3. With Shohei Ohtani set to take the mound in a potential closeout game on Friday night, can the Brewers begin arguably the biggest comeback in MLB postseason history? Also on this episode, Jake and Jordan cover how the Toronto Blue Jays gave the Seattle Mariners a taste of their own medicine by winning two straight games at T-Mobile Park, evening the ALCS at two games apiece. Dodgers’ brilliant pitching sinks Brewers to 0-2 NLCS hole + Mariners two wins away from 1st World Series berth

The Milwaukee Brewers won the most games this season with their impressive and dynamic play on the field. However, when the Los Angeles Dodgers came to American Family Field two days ago, they arrived with two elite starting pitchers, hoping to shut down the Brew Crew and return to LA in the driver’s seat. That is exactly what happened. On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman talk about the incredible back-to-back pitching performances from Blake Snell in Game 1 and the complete-game shutout by Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2 that has the Dodgers heading home with a 2-0 NLCS series lead. The guys discuss whether the Brewers can overcome the Dodgers' stellar rotation and force the series to return to Milwaukee before it’s too late. Also on this episode, Jake and Jordan dive into the Seattle Mariners taking a 2-0 lead—also on the road—in the ALCS against the Toronto Blue Jays, with the help of some incredibly timely hitting from Jorge Polanco. They preview the upcoming Game 3 and 4 matchups to see if Shane Bieber and Max Scherzer can somehow stop the rolling Mariners from reaching their first World Series in franchise history.
