Cub changes

Being a woman I really enjoy these podcasts, but I often say to my husband- we have multi- million dollar babies out there why aren’t they playing like one. I think they need a woman in the dugout to remind them of this as only a woman could. Put me in coach, I’m ready to whip their mindset into shape. One last thing thank you for having the “whole” team out during the anthem, before it made me think “ what a bunch of entitled no accountability boys “. Joe said it was his fault for not enforcing it- no actually its the players fault for being disrespectful of what that flag stands for!!

Great interview access, uneven commentary

I love having the interviews with players and the ability to respond to comments from Maddon, Epstein, and Hoyer. Beyond that, this podcast devolves too often into unnecessary panic and complaining or looks outside of the team frequently for some magic fix. I came to this podcast as a longtime Cubs fan, but even though I know it’s not true, this feels sometimes like the ranting of fair weather fans who came to the Cubs in 2016 and always want someone to blame. It makes their enthusiasm when we are winning less authentic and the commentary less valuable. If you’re looking to rant when a game lets you down, you’ll find that here but you’ll also find the same with Kaplan during the post-game. If you want to come to this podcast when there’s a break and Tony Andracki or Luke Stuckmeyer can take a step back rather than react in the moment, I’m all in for that. Otherwise, the interviews are the essential element of access not afforded to other podcasts.

Love the podcast

I love the new open but I just feel like adding an audio clip from Game 7 of the World Series win of someone saying “Cubs are World Swries Champs”
