Welcome to Curating the Curious, the podcast that celebrates staying curious in life and never settling into a box. This show is for the creators, the seekers, the explorers, the truth tellers….and the forever students of life.
No matter what age or stage you’re currently at, this is not as good as it gets and it is never too late to begin.
Join me as we explore all of the questions that come with the idea of curiosity. A place where the possibilities are endless and you can always start again.
We expand our lives through curiosity. One of my greatest passions is finding ways to encourage and inspire other creatives to keep pushing, sharing, living joyfully, and making things for the world to see. Hosted by a jack-of-all-trades: former inner-city elementary teacher, television actress, LA realtor, wine slinger, waitress, salesperson, family photographer, and forever student of life…me! LeAnna Azzolini. Join me as I introduce you to some of the most curious (and creative) people I've met along the way. Each person that I've chosen to sit down and talk to has affected me on a deeper level. Not only do they create amazing art, but they're out in the world, making waves, living vibrant lives, and expressing their unique gifts. Get ready to be moved and inspired. It's time to take off on this journey and get curious together. Let's go!

    Loosen Your Laces- You're Welcome!

    Loosen Your Laces- You're Welcome!

After spending the last several months (YEARS actually) studying habits and the different ways that they intertwine with our self image and identity, I'm excited to dedicate an episode to just a sampling of these ideas.
This episode is an invitation to step into the power of your unique voice and live with joy, shedding the constraints of a rigid self-narrative.
James Clear's "Atomic Habits" takes center stage in our discussion, offering a look at how small changes can lead to monumental shifts in our self-perception and identity. We navigate the landscape of neuroplasticity, taking a look at how altering our daily routines can rewire our brains and reinforce our self belief.
We end the episode by illuminating the subtle distinction between being humble and modest. Instead of diminishing our light under the guise of modesty, we champion humility as a genuine expression of self that empowers both ourselves and those around us.
Join me for an empowering conversation that encourages you to live unapologetically, honor your successes, and to inspire a collective ascent to loosening those laces and living out whatever largeness lies within you.

P.S. Please help me out and tell your friends this podcast is back! Apple Podcasts has paused a huge amount of listeners without them knowing. Between that and my (highly diminished) reach on social media, barely any of my subscribers even know that the podcast has returned. Thank you for sharing in any way you can! Muah

Purifying the Airwaves (Cliffs Notes from a Curious Mind Episode 4)

Purifying the Airwaves (Cliffs Notes from a Curious Mind Episode 4)

Welcome back to another episode of Cliffs Notes from a Curious Mind! This is an abbreviated list of the top 7 things that I've learned, loved, listened to, and/or labored over. Today's topics are:

    1) A bit of Martha Graham's wisdom
    2) the vibrant spirit of John Batiste's 'American Symphony' (and his upcoming tour).
    3) we peer through the lens of 'fundamental attribution error,' encouraging a deeper understanding of our judgments.
    4) Dacher Keltner's book, 'Awe' takes us on a  tour of wonder, inspiring us to seek out the extraordinary in the ordinary.
    5) We dabble in neuroscience and find the healing properties of tears.
    6) Brene Brown on finding friends who protect our light.
    7) Rick Rubin and his advice on Metta Practice

    ***Bonus Quote at the end!

I'm Back! The Art of Pausing for Self-Discovery and Inspiration

I'm Back! The Art of Pausing for Self-Discovery and Inspiration

I'm back and happy to say that taking a pause can be a transformative experience! A while ago, I made the decision to step away from the noise (in order to hear myself instead).
In the quietness away from the constant buzz of social media, I found a liberty in solitude and a renewed connection with the voice within. This episode shares a bit of that journey and a toast to the joys of returning to this podcast that I love so much. Join me as we celebrate curiosity and creativity, and continue our collective quest for a life brimming with fulfillment.

I'm so excited to reconnect with all of you and extend a heartfelt thank you for your unwavering support!

And if you're looking for an extra spark of inspiration, don't miss out on Rachel Larson Weaver's episode (Episode 61)—it's the perfect springboard into our new season.
Your engagement and five-star reviews mean the world to us, as we forge ahead with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, ever eager for the next discovery on this podcasting adventure.

NOTE****   A recent iPhone update may have thrown a wrench in the works, disrupting our usual channels of connection, but it's nothing we can't overcome together. I encourage you to double-check your follows and notifications to ensure you're up-to-date with our latest episodes. Please tell your friends too!

    2024 Wear Sunscreen

    2024 Wear Sunscreen

Hello to all of my new listeners and welcome back to so many of you! Today I want to share something that I recorded several years ago called Wear Sunscreen. This spoken word song was a guiding force for me in my twenties and is something that I believe everyone can learn a little something from.

If you haven't heard it yet, you're welcome...and if you have, listen to it again.

Thanks so much for all of the shares and messages and people out there listening. This is one of my greatest joys and I'm soooo happy to be back!

It's just KateMBP ,

Love it!

Every time a new episode drops I listen immediately because I feel like it’s listening to a friend. And each time I take away a few nuggets of helpful information.

My Favorite!

I love this podcast with all of my heart! Every time I get a notification about a new episode, I find a reason to take a long walk and enjoy every minute. It’s uplifting, encouraging, and also quite thought-provoking. So many of the episodes have made me feel less alone in my creative struggles (and life in general, really). I also really love it when LeAnna brings her daughter on to talk. I hope this podcast continues on forever. The very best of the best!

A Beacon of Inspiration

I love every episode and feel so much connection to LeAnna’s journey and wisdom weaving. So thankful for her voice and tender honesty; which inspires me to open my heart in brave ways and to follow what is sparking my attention with depth and honor. I have listened to every episode - some more than once; as they land differently as I evolve. There is something about the rhythm of the conversations, interviews or “aha” observations that affects me profoundly. What a gift. Endlessly thankful for Curating the Curious!
