Curiosity with Rachel

Rachel

A little bit abt me⭐️ Hi i’m Rachel, i’m 21 and I grew up in Massachusetts. I started this podcast after dropping out of college in 2022. I didn’t know what I wanted to do w my life- and that’s when I learned I didn’t have to know. I started taking my life day-by-day. Working, exploring, solo-adventuring, and realizing that life isn’t abt the end goal but about how you spend your days. I use this podcast to share my thoughts, experiences, adventures, and wisdom. I hope you follow along and find some inspiration along the way 🤭👭 [All socials @curiositywrachel]

    This is your one job

This episode is all about staying open through everything that life throws at us. I have had many moments in my life where all I wanted to do was isolate. I had so many thoughts telling me that I had to hide myself, and many times I listened to them. But this episode is all about the importance of staying open even when everything is telling you to close. Not isolating, not hiding, not changing, but being yourself even when you have thoughts that tell you the opposite. Pushing through those thoughts, and staying open is the most important choice we can make. It doesn’t feel like a choice at times, but knowing that your job is to stay open no matter what, can help you stay open even when everything in your head is telling you to close. Small or big, things will always happen throughout your day that may cause you to automatically close. There will never be a time when you can stop these situations from happening. What you can do, is open up when you notice yourself closing. When you notice the thoughts telling you to hide yourself, to match the energy of those around you, the thoughts that you’re not enough or being too much; you don’t change. You stay the same. You stay you. Because that is your job. Not giving up on yourself, not letting yourself isolate even when you feel like that’s your only option. Things won’t always go your way, people won’t always reciprocate the energy, but you don’t change because of these things. You always have a right to take up space, to show your personality, to simply be you regardless of other people.
