Materially Cultured

I tell all of my curatorial coworkers and fellow decorative arts enthusiasts about this podcast and would recommend it to anyone that is interested in material culture. The podcast has covered a wide range of objects with stimulating conversations between the host and a variety of interesting and knowledgeable guests.
Story+Object=Antique Love

This podcast says exactly why I love collecting. Every edition explains what fascinates a collector: the back story, the identity and the object itself. The variety of guests and topics together with the well spoken host makes this a perfect spot to learn more and embrace the big world of curious objects. Plus it shakes off the rarefied airs of old and makes everyone feel welcome.
Slow down
7月16日
The host tends to speak so softly and rapidly that some statements are not clear, and terms are not well defined. The blog’s scope and content are excellent, but the delivery often feels rushed. The end of a sentence is as important as the beginning. It can be disappointing when the “curious object” is not introduced until the last ten minutes of the podcast.
Fantastic show, much fun

I’m a historian by training, a silversmith’s daughter, and have an avid interest in antiques and antiquities. Curious Objects hits all the right notes for me. It’s well-produced, good listening, full of interesting facts and historical notes, all revolving around … curious objects. Even when I don’t think I’ll be terribly interested in an episode, I will find that it captures my interest.
