    Welcome to the very first episode of Curiously Connected.   In this opening episode, Bec Penfold shares a glimpse into the experiences that shaped her passion for understanding behaviour, brains, and nervous systems. From playing softball for Australia, to becoming an occupational therapist, to caring for her mum after a brain aneurysm, Bec reflects on how life experiences shape the way we see people, disability, and connection.   She also tackles some of the questions she’s asked most often - including whether ADHD and Autism are really “overdiagnosed”, how her own ADHD brain works, and why she chose to stay working in the disability space when OT offers so many career paths.   This first episode is a bit of a window into Bec’s brain - curious, passionate, and deeply committed to understanding people better.   This podcast is a comma, not a full stop - an invitation to pause, reflect, and stay curious.
