    Cutscene Ep 127 – To Be Hero X episodes 13-24

    An anime so nice we decided to watch it twice. And by twice we mean we watched the rest of season 1. In a world full of brilliant heroes, it’s the trust of fans that turns heroes into superheroes. If a hero loses the people’s trust, they lose their special abilities. Trust value is collected, quantified, and used to determine a hero’s ranking, displayed on their wrist. Every two years, the top heroes go to a tournament to fight, determine new trust values, and earn their rankings. Our next anime is Gachiakuta: In a floating city where the rich discard their waste—and people—Rudo is framed for murder and thrown into the Pit, where a hellscape of mutated trash beasts dwell. To survive, he must wield a new power and join the Cleaners. Rudo doesn’t just aim to battle monsters, but the corrupt who cast him into Hell.

    Cutscene Ep 125 – A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof

    Well, we weren't supposed to catch feels from this anime but here we are. This was a great watch and all three of us HIGHLY recommend it. On the way home from school one day, Konoha Koga rescues Satoko Kusagakure, a ninja who escaped her village. Soon, pursuers from the village show up in search of Satoko only to be deftly dealt with by Konoha. As it turns out, the unassuming high schooler is actually an assassin. Thus, the potentially cutthroat cohabitation of a ninja and an assassin begins! Our next anime is TO BE HERO X: In a world full of brilliant heroes, it’s the trust of fans that turns heroes into superheroes. If a hero loses the people’s trust, they lose their special abilities.     Cutscene Ep 124 – WONDER EGG PRIORITY (trigger warnings)

    Major trigger warnings for anyone that is thinking about watching this anime (but for some reason is here with us). We knew that we were getting into something when we chose this anime, but we weren't properly prepared for everything that was coming. This is the story of Ai, an introverted girl whose fate is forever changed when she acquires a mysterious “Wonder Egg” from a deserted arcade. That night, her dreams blend into reality, and as other girls obtain their own Wonder Eggs, Ai discovers new friends—and the magic within herself.     Get ready for a semester of Business 101 everyone because we're watching Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four! In an alternate fantasy world, the Demon King reigns with a formidable army led by his Four Heavenly Kings. One happens to be Uchimura Denosuke, a normal salaryman unexpectedly plucked from his mundane life by the Demon King himself. But even in this new realm, Uchimura is bestowed no particular powers. Can he survive treacherous missions with only the knowledge of an office worker? Our next anime is WONDER EGG PRIORITY. There are trigger warnings for this anime so only watch if you're comfortable with depictions of self-harm, sexual violence, and suicide.     We're back with our first anime of 2025, My Deer Friend Nokotan. This is our first go at doing the entire series rather than splitting it up. Koshi Torako has everyone fooled. Her classmates see her as the perfect honor student, unaware of her secret delinquent past. But her new picturesque school life is thrown into chaos when she bumps into Shikanoko Noko, a girl with antlers! Mayhem seems to follow this strange doe-eyed girl. Who, or what, is she?
