The non-traditional strategies used in the program have been shown to build resilience, responsibility and respect in the participants. We also discuss the "hard" truths we must come to terms with in life that help us overcome challenges. And the values of capitalism which hinder community and selflessness. Additionally, dealing with anxiety in your life through meditative practices such as prayer and mindfulness; Allowing yourself to be guided by the moral compass within; and finally nutrition. Why it's important to watch what we consume.

They share memorable stories from the week, what they've learnt on the hike about themselves, and how the experience has shaped them and helped develop their character.
