Turning our weekly Daddy Date tradition into a weekly podcast. What's up with school, with work, with life. Join us as we get caught up and catch you up. We are into family and friends, animal rescue, making the world a better place, bilingual education, plant-based food (though we love our omnivore friends!), surfing and the beach, skiing, hacky sack and now our podcast. Boomer dad and Gen Z daughter there's a lot we learn from one-another. While we don't always agree, there is always love and understanding. Well almost always.

    This is our second episode of our Daddy Date podcast, still in the midst of a global Covid-19 pandemic. My sister Kathi joins us as a special guest, and shares about her work as a hospice nurse and how that has changed in the last few weeks. Elise shares a really creative and fun idea for connecting with classmates while sheltering at home. The idea came from a friend and they collaborated to pull it together.  We share some sad doggy news and related stories, some of which we find funny.  And we end with some inspiring audio for all those wonderful people on the front lines helping to save lives.  Thanks for listening.     Daddy Date Launch, Coronavirus & Sheltering at Home

    We launched our Daddy Date podcast in the middle of a global crisis, Coronavirus or Covid-19. The podcast is something we've been wanting to do for a long time but... well life happens! So we are using the "shelter in place" time to finally get this off the ground.  The idea behind the podcast is to take our weekly Daddy Date conversations - which have been so meaningful and helpful to us - and share them in hopes that this might be interesting and helpful to other listeners who might share in return.  In this segment we: Introduce the podcast Talk about sheltering at home Introduce the characters in our lives (rescue dogs, guinea pigs, mom...)  Share the goals our family has set for unexpected time together that may last for many weeks or even months Thanks for listening.
