    [Comment: Reason for Trials]

    Friends of the Rosary:

As you might note, on Fridays and Mondays, when we recite the Sorrowful Mysteries, we are adding prayers from the Divine Mercy Chaplet. We say them after the fruit of the mysteries. The mercy of Jesus and Mary and their sorrowful passion are intermingled.

St. Faustina Kowalska, the apostle of mercy, explained after her private revelations from Jesus Christ, why the Divinity permitted trying and hurtful moments.

She wrote: “Strangely, God sometimes allows them, but always in order to manifest or develop virtue in a soul. That’s the reason for trials.”

We hold our Rosary, instrument of truth and mercy, to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries.

    Ave Maria!
    Jesus, I Trust In You!

    [Comment: Efficacy of the Rosary]

    Friends of the Rosary:

Do we believe in the efficacy of the Holy Rosary of the Virgin Mary for our salvation?

Let’s hear what St Louis Mary de Montfort wrote: “If you say nicely and devoutly the Rosary every day you will earn the right to go to Heaven to see Jesus and Mary.”

“If it is not their wish that you should see Jesus and Mary in this life; you will see them for all eternity.”

Our Mother in Heaven in Lourdes and Fatima asked us to pray the Rosary every single day. It was for a reason.

Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You!

    [Comment: Peace]

    Friends of the Rosary:

Fear of contagion or getting sick due to the coronavirus has been a dominant feeling since the pandemic started in March 2021. Losing health is not our only fear. Our lives are often marked by distress and anxiety.

We are afraid of losing loved ones, friends, money, properties, pleasures, power, and ultimately, our life itself. The Prince of Lies thrives with our agitation and despair. Our goal should be to seek peace and holiness.

The only real peace comes from Jesus and Mary. The Redeemer of the world reminded this to us in yesterday’s reading (John 14:27-31a): “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”

Jesus Christ is the antidote for fear. What can scare us if the Author of Life lives in us and Our Blessed Mother intercedes for us?

    Ave Maria!
    Jesus, I Trust In You!

    [Comment: Whatever You Want]

    Friends of the Rosary:

At the beginning of this fifth week of Easter, we heard Jesus’ words on divine and human will. The Redeemer of the world said on Sunday’s reading: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.” (Jn 15:1-8).

On Monday, the teaching was similar: “Whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” (Jn 14:6-14).

Since most of our prayer is based on asking rather than thanksgiving, we must understand how this works.

When our human will is aligned with divine will, our requests are granted, not in our time but in God’s time — and for His greater glory.

Someone might be disappointed with the explanation. However, the factual reality is that Divinity’s timeframe and graces are much better than ours. We just need to place our full trust in Jesus and Mary. Never doubt!

    Ave Maria!
    Jesus, I Trust In You!

    [Comment: Supernatural Life]

    Friends of the Rosary:

Today, Monday of the Fifth Week of Easter is the feast day of the Apostles Philip and James the Less. They both suffered and were persecuted, but they placed their confidence in Jesus Christ and now rejoice in heaven.

We too must not be troubled and live in Christ and He in us. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, as we read today in the Gospel of John (Jn 14:6-14).

Jesus Christ wants to live in us, as long as we freely decide to surrender.

The reality that Jesus Christ is the vine and we are the branches goes beyond any moral teaching. The Son of God is the source of supernatural life in us. Without Him, we die spiritually and we sink on sin.

    Ave Maria!
    Jesus, I Trust In You!

    [Comment: Disciples]

    Friends of the Rosary:

Today, on the Fifth Sunday of Easter, Jesus reminds us of a fundamental truth (John 15:1-8). He is the true vine — the giver of life — and wants us to produce fruit by becoming his disciples.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.”

Jesus Christ reveals that if we decide to go otherwise, the consequences will be catastrophic for us.

“Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned.”

The fires of hell are very real, as the saint children of Fatima or St. Faustina Kowalska saw. In our daily Rosary, we ask five times to be saved from this horror that means eternal damnation.

    Ave Maria!
    Jesus, I Trust In You!
