We met once face to face, with no distance or fear. We embraced the music and each other. Dancing showed the way to open our hearts and start a conversation.
When all dance floors were closed in 2020, we founded Dance in Conversation to keep our connections and discussions about tango going.
So, we started dancing with stories, talking with rhythm, and we began to embrace communication in all its forms.
This podcast is where life and tango are one. It’s yet another way to honour that goal of connecting and be together.
We are Sergio Acosta, a writer and a tango lover, and Ieva Kelpsaite, a tango dancer and relationship coach.
We hope you enjoy it.

Veronica Toumanova: Love is not enough

Veronica Toumanova: Love is not enough

With enormous clarity, the writer and tango teacher Veronica Toumanova dives deep into the challenges of practising tango with a partner.
Whether your tango partner is a friend or the love of your life, some rules are essential to make it work. Veronica took our hand and led us to new insights about those complex relationships that occur on the dance floor.
If you feel inspired by this conversation the same way we did, you can go further and subscribe to our workshop:
Tango and the Art of Communication that Brings Us Closer
In this training, we will use tango as a model to take our relationships to the next level.

Love is a skill: the art of relationships in tango and life

Love is a skill: the art of relationships in tango and life

Sergio Acosta & Ieva Kelpsaite got together (with no Zoom!) to talk about the art of relationships, communication, presence and how tango helps us to embrace the notion of love as a skill.
The topic came about as we are re-launching the site ievakelpsaite.com a new window to discover and learn about relationships.
It is also, of course, an invitation to get to know Ieva Kelpsaite's story and her professional offer as a qualified relationship coach.
    Enjoy!

    Understanding Miradas and Cabeceos

    Understanding Miradas and Cabeceos

The first episode of Dance in Conversation Podcast had to be all about the invitation to dance. Miradas and cabeceos in tango is a topic we wanted to explore, rather than debate, however, we didn’t imagine how deep this conversation would go. You wanna dance? Make sure you listen!
    Special thanks to our panellists:
Silvia Mezzasoma, tango dancer and teacher
Sonia Devi, founder of Tango Confianza group
Hans Peter Meyer, embodiment coach and tango teacher
Event leader and host: Ieva Kelpsaite
