5 out of 5!

I always find myself looking forward to this podcast!

Calming, affirming, insightful

We’re currently planning our wedding and are having a lot of the same uncertainties that Livia was having and hearing people talk about and successfully figure out what parts of the traditions they want to hold onto and what to change to make a personal event (while really just wanting friends to come together and dance and drink) was comforting as we start to lock things in.

Also, the episode that was focused on management and the sense of “you’re a smart person, you’ll figure it out” as a task gets lobbed onto your plate really helped give some ideas about how to frame conversations when being on the receiving end of that and daring to stick my neck out by admitting there’s a concern failing when taking on a new task for the first time.

Dare to Grow

We’re all improvisers, without necessarily knowing or claiming that specific designation. I appreciate how this podcast builds that bridge for us... and invites us to think about ways to do it (life, being human, improvising, etc.) just a little better. The hosts model what it looks like to listen well, say yes (affirm), and offer insights that build out the application of their guests’ stories.
