Dawes Podcast Taylor Goldsmith

When we talk to each other about our band, or just music as a whole, I feel like there is an added depth and level of comfort than there is when we’re talking to someone outside the band. And yet, I don’t think we’ve ever brought anyone else into those conversations. Until now.

Taylor chats with Wylie
The final installment of this little podcast trilogy! This one serves as a sort of Dawes prequel. We start with Wylie and I meeting and try to touch on every step up until the release of North Hills. As a lot of you probably already know, Wylie is quite the story teller and easily the funniest person any of the rest of us have ever met. If he did all the press, we’d be superstars.

Taylor Chats with Lee
Our next installment in our 3-part podcast is out! I speak with Lee about his life before Dawes in music as well as the story of us all meeting and of him eventually becoming a member of the band. There was a lot that we've never talked about until now. Hope you dig it.

Taylor Chats with Griff
I sat down with each member of the band individually over the last several months and had a conversation. This first one is with Griff. We recorded it months before Good Luck With Whatever came out. The album barely comes up but we ended up finding several enjoyable threads to follow. Hope you dig it too...

I don’t listen to podcasts but I like this series. Keep it up!
Keep it going!
Thanks for sharing all of this stuff! I am a fairly recent convert to Dawes music, but I really enjoy your music, and recommend you all the time. Keep the podcast going. It’s the one podcast I have listened to that is really real. Unfiltered, unscripted, and just sharing yourselves. I especially enjoyed the story about the recording and the saga of the master tape of When My Time Comes. Made me appreciate the recording even more.
This Podcast: Right on Time and Out of Nowhere
I love learning the little things about you guys and your amazing music. For example - Griff’s teenage narcolepsy issue and how “From the Right Angle” was born from a noodling sesh?? Incredible.
PLEASE keep the stories, details, and history of the band coming to your fans because we absolutely love it!! Screw podcast professionalism Taylor, it was a treat feeling like I was sitting in the room, listening to the conversation with you guys - keep crankin’ these out!
