    D4D 2:7 - Warnings

    This week Ben and Dan discuss God as "Warnings" and how we look at and respond to the warnings we are given in scripture.  Read and meditate on:  Hebrews 2:1  We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. Jude verse 5 5 Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. Hebrews 3:12-14  See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

    D4D 2:6 - Father

    This week Ben and Dan discuss God as "Father" and how we look at and respond to Him as our Father.  Read and meditate on:  Psalm 68:5-6 – “Sing to God, praise his name; exalt the rider of the clouds. Rejoice before him whose name is the Lord. Father of the fatherless, defender of widows – God in his holy abode.” Father’s love letter : https://www.fathersloveletter.com/  Luke 12:32 – “Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Galatians 4:4-7  4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

    D4D 2:5 - Promise

    This week Ben and Dan discuss "Promise" and how we look and respond to the promises of God in scripture. Read and meditate on: Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” 1 John 1:9 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Hebrews 6:13-15 - When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 14 saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.” 15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

    D4D 2:4 - Glory

    This week Ben and Dan discuss "Glory," who it is for, what it does and a little bit about how to go about it. Read and meditate on: Exodus 33:14-16 14 And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” 15 And he said to him, “If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here. 16 For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not in your going with us, so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?” Psalm 115:1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.

    D4D 2:3 - Accountability

    This week Ben and Dan discuss "Accountability," who it is for, what it does and a little bit about how to go about it. Read and mediate on: Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? 10 “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” 2 Samuel 12:7-9 7 Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul. 8 And I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your arms and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if this were too little, I would add to you as much more. 9 Why have you despised the word of the Lord, to do what is evil in his sight? Psalm 51:3-4 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgement.
