Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) was created by a woman named Marsha Linehan in the 1980s. The skills she created are now taught all over the world. DBT can improve depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and other mental health struggles. We are Kate and Michelle, two mental health therapists in Seattle, WA. We have been teaching DBT groups as a team for years. Whether you've never heard of DBT before or are experienced with DBT skills, this podcast is here to help you use DBT skills in your daily life.

Customer Reviews
Solid and relatable but not efficient
This is not the most efficient way to learn DBT or a particularly polished podcast… there are numerous digressions and interruptions.
But there’s a lot of friendly examples and troubleshooting and a lot of the content sinks in better once it’s explained several times anyway, so I think it works quite nicely. The hosts balance each other out in an interesting way, Michelle is kind of the put together therapist figure and Kate is the therapist who you can trust because she’s very frank about all of her own struggles.
Like “Being Home”
This podcast has been a godsend because I’ve been told DBT would be really good for me, but it is impossible to find anybody who accepts medical insurance that does DBT. Using this podcast (and soon their book because I just bought it), I will be able to try to do the work!!
The host of the show are 100% real and honest. They are quirky and caring just like me!
Great Content Poor Audio Quality
Absolutely wonderful podcast material, leaves you hanging on to every word they say. Audio quality sounds like it is coming from an omnidirectional mic which picks up the sound of the entire room. It makes their voices either extremely loud or too soft. Virtually impossible to listen to while driving, and a danger to listen to with headphones. You have to adjust the volume constantly to turn up their voices and then try to turn down the laughter. With just a few quick adjustments (like the use of a compressor) this already great podcast would be top notch and five stars instead of three.
