    'Watchmen' (2009)

    We have reached the end of DC Multicast Season 2! On the season finale, Keith welcomes his Hard NOC Life co-host Dominic Mah to discuss 2009's Watchmen. In addition to talking about what Zack Snyder got right and wrong in the movie, Keith and Dom break down how it was ultimately too faithful to the source material while also not being faithful enough. They also discuss how the film compares to the HBO television series that premiered 10 years later and why Watchmen as a whole is so difficult to adapt into other mediums.     'Superman Returns' (2006)

    On a new episode of DC Multicast, Keith welcomes acclaimed comic book artist and writer Jamal Igle to break down all the canceled Superman movies that ultimately led to 2006's Superman Returns. From the failed Tim Burton film to the original aborted Batman vs. Superman, the Man of Steel took a long journey through production hell before hitting the big screen in Bryan Singer's pseudo-sequel to the Richard Donner films. Keith and Jamal also reminisce about their battles over Superman on message boards in the early aughts and discuss why Warner Bros. has such a hard time getting the character right on the big screen.     'Steel' (1997)

    On the latest editon of DC Multicast, comic book writer and lifelong Lakers fan Greg Burnham joins Keith as they hack-a-Shaq the 1997 classic non-Superman movie, Steel! Before they dive into the similarities between Steel and Iron Man -- and why the movie is "so bad, it's good," Keith and Greg reminisce about how Shaq dominated the NBA in the '90s. They also dig into the limitations of early day comic book movies and how Steel was almost a movie about Milestone hero, Icon. Whether or not Steel set back stories of Black superheroes, Greg has been on the forefront of creating stories for all audiences.     'Batman & Robin' (1997)

    Season 2 of DC Multicast continues! This week, Keith welcomes Batman & Robin superfan Britney Monae to discuss the end of the Schumacher era. Widely derided as the film that killed the franchise, Britney shares why the film gets unfairly criticized. Its embrace of camp was not only an homage to Batman’s ‘60s sensibilities, it was also an expression of the film’s queer subtext and influence. They also spend time on George Clooney’s Flash cameo and speculate about what a third Schumacher movie might have been like.
