    Camp Rock

    In this series finale of the DCOM Divas podcast, we are reviewing one of the most iconic and memorable DCOMs of all: Camp Rock! And while this is the final jam for our show, we want to prove we still rock by bringing on one of our favorite return guests, Kaylee! Together, she and Jana reminisce about the year of our lord 2008 and how it not only brought Camp Rock but with it gave us Demi Lovato, lots of Jonas Brothers scarves, unforgettable shoulder dancing, stolen charm bracelets, dance routines that everyone in the camp can somehow memorize immediately, and a final jam with a somewhat underwhelming winning song followed by the absolute anthem that is “This is Me.”  Thanks so much for listening Divas, this podcast has been a wonderful part of my life for the past few years and I cannot imagine where I’d be without it. I’ll miss recording with all my Diva guests and can almost guarentee I’ll be back with a new podcast at some point.     Minutemen

    As Pitbull once said, in order to understand the future we have to go back in time. So that's exactly what we're doing on this review of the 2008 Jason Dolley DCOM, Minutemen! Joining the episode are two-time travellin' divas that you've come to know and love, Sean and Robert!     SPECIAL EPISODE: The Parent Trap

    Think DCOM Divas reviews too many Lindsay Lohan movies? Well then you better turn this off because you’re about to get twice the Lohan in this review of the classic 1998 Disney flick, The Parent Trap. On this episode, Jana is joined not by her long-lost twin but definitely her sister in Christ (ahem, the two of them played nuns together in a musical), Amelia! Together these millenial queens reminisce over iconic characters like Meredith Blake, Martin the Buttler, and most importantly, Chessie! They discuss questions we should have been asking about this film all along like… Should these parents actually be getting back together because it seems like they have no valid reason to other than to reunite their kids who’ve they’ve intentionally separated and lied to for 11 years? Is Meredith Blake actually the horrendous bitch we make her out to be or is Nick Parker an overly hands-off and wildly irresponsible parent who got secretly engaged to his much younger girlfriend while his daughter was away at camp and expects her to just be ok with it? How is it possible to simultaneously worship Chessie as a queer icon yet whole-heartedly ship her and Martin as the one true love story of this movie? Joining Jana is her pal who might not be a Disney Channel fanatic but nonetheless offers an insightful perspective on the flick, Denae.
