We chat about how the high school hierarchy portrayed in the film rings true in today’s culture. We wrap up the show with a Golden Globes discussion, on the back of the recent awards ceremony.     In this minisode we bring you a bite sized snippet of episode eight (aired 24/2/21). Claire voices her opinion on the 2018 dark comedy drama Succession and the recently released true crime docuseries Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel. Trudy discusses the 2019 Australian coming-of-age comedy drama Babyteeth and how it rewrites a lot of the stereotypical conventions that exist within film subgenres. Ahead of the Golden Globes, we chat about some of the nominees for the Hollywood awards, some unknown facts behind the nominated films and faces, and who we think might come out on the favourable side. We discuss the digital detox trend that has resurfaced during the pandemic and how we feel we would fair out being social-media free. We also chat about some useful tips in kickstarting this digital detox, as part of our College View lifestyle section weekly roundup.
