Dead Duck

These two humans make me laugh out loud so often! I like that they seem like two regular people who also happen to have little brilliant insights on relationships and emotions and, well… life. They are my new favorite to put on when I have to get a boring chore done, like dishes or a mountain of laundry. Thanks ladies, for being brave and sharing the “ordinary” with all of us— it helps all of us feel seen.

This idea that we feel like dead ducks because we expect so much of ourselves and are never happy with the results is universal. We are told, especially in the the states, that we can do anything if we put our minds to it. But the truth is that human nature and life in general get in the way. As a result, we feel like failures, when really we are all doing what we can to make it in a world where hyper-success seems to be the only thing that matters.
