Sold as more salacious than it actually is, ads highlighted the friend group as ‘something from the playboy channel’ and then it was like ‘they party down by the River and sometimes wife swap’. Turns out the story is not really about the friend group at all, a click bate headline. Kind of expected more intricacy based on that, but if it wasn’t mis represented in the ads, I would have likely enjoyed it more overall, the story is told well, just not the story I imagined it would be.
