Debate This!

Debate This!

If Kirby swallowed a boss from Metal Gear Solid, what absolutely bonkers power would he obtain? Which of the X-Men would be the biggest bummer of a roommate? Is King Bob-Omb's rule officially recognized by the Mushroom Kingdom or is Bob-Omb Battlefield a sovereign nation? Debate This! asks the kind of bold and heroic questions about your favorite video games and comics that no other podcast would dare ask. Although, it's probably because other people have better things to do than argue which color of Yoshi is the best color of Yoshi. In this show, no one is right, but someone is definitely wrong.

    FLAVOR TEXT: Deltarune (Pt 2)

Despite everything, it's still you. Or at least that's what we were told in Undertale, but now we're picking up from the ending of our Undertale FLAVOR TEXT where we talked briefly about Deltarune and are now diving into chapters 1-5.  Find out what an alternative reality world looks like for your favorite Undertale characters like Toriel, Sans, and Alphys. Then, accidentally fall into a portal to the Dark World to meet your newest friends with very normal names like Lancer, Rouxls Kaard, and Ralsei whose name is an anagram for Asriel which I'm sure is just a coincidence. Join Todd as he takes Matt and Kyle to his Castle Town all the way up to where they meet their dad's best friend, Jarona!  Follow along with this weeks Imgur Gallery here: https://imgur.com/a/R25aAZW Todd also made a playlist he has called Deltarune Bangers, so here's that as well I guess: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4tQ93LujdbrLJIBkEdscNZ?si=UIzf4QtTSSeS1kuZeLGDvw  This week's FT! was commissioned by our patron @squirrelmancer! Ep. 198: In Funkest Bass, On Thursday Night

The latest installment in James Gunn's DC Universe has come to streaming in all of its glowing, green glory. Even though moviegoers were introduced to Guy Gardner as the Green Lantern in 2025's Superman, HBO Maxers(?) have the opportunity to watch Hal Jordan train John Stewart in the new show, Lanterns. Here's the kicker, Lanterns is pretty good! Because this new show has proven that adding power rings to a series makes it good, we've decided to follow suit. This week we're out to determine which scripted show of the past would be improved with a Green Lantern! Andrew is doing impressions. Kyle is doing optimism. Matt has to go back. Ep. 197: The Pres-TCG

Trading card games are so hot right now. You've got Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-OH!, Riftbound, One Piece, Lorcana, Flesh & Blood, and, like, a dozen more. The whole economy around TCGs has only been accelerated by millennial nostalgia. With 90s kids cresting into their 40s, they now have the funds to chase that foil Charizard they've always wanted. Well we're on a mission to break into that market. This week we're pitch nostalgic TCGs based on properties that have never come to cardboard. Matt is appealing to a particular type of gamer. Todd is appealing to a particular type of athlete. Kyle is appealing to himself in particular.  The title of this week's episode was selected by our Patrons in our Discord Community! Ep. 196: Work Life Balance Patch

Over the past two decades, game publishers have been producing less and less physical products. PlayStation announcing their intention to phase out game discs is just the next in a long line of cuts. Back in the day, games used to come with posters, demo discs, and, most importantly, instruction manuals. Well, we here at DT!HQ have taken it upon ourselves to revitalize a love of physical media among the youths! That's why we're putting our 30-something minds together to create an instruction manual for adulthood. Andrew plans to expose the sad truths of growing old. Todd plans to explain the common traps built into a first job. Kyle plans to expediate the shopping experience. We will be LIVE at the Southern Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta, Georgia July 31st - August 2nd! Come see our live show and get all the details at debatethiscast.com/live!
