    Jennifer Mathieu Blessington

In this episode,  I had the pleasure of interviewing Jennifer Mathieu Blessington. Jennifer is a high school English teacher and an author of several young adult novels. She lives in Houston with her husband and son. I connected with Jennifer in a sober community that we were both involved with and was always thrilled when she'd share. Her stories,  insights, and her motivation to simply be her best self, was always so inspiring to me. I was honored when she agreed to come on the show and I know you're going to love this one. Enjoy!

    Amy's Story | Amy C. Willis

In this episode,  I'll be chatting with my new friend, Amy C. Willis. Amy is a Sobriety & Mindset Coach and founder of HOL + WELL. She supports women and LGBTQ+ folks in reclaiming their power and freedom through sobriety. Amy comes to this work after struggling with alcohol addiction for more than 15 years and losing her dad to his alcohol addiction. Amy has now been sober for almost 6 years, is doing some really amazing work in the sober community and quite frankly, in life.

We chat about her story, how she removed alcohol, what sobriety has allowed her to do now, and we even touch on the link between alcohol and breast cancer.

Jessica Landon's Story & the Power of Embracing the "Woo-Woo"

Jessica Landon's Story & the Power of Embracing the "Woo-Woo"

In this episode,  I'll be interviewing one of my dear friends,  Jessica Landon. Jessica is a writer, actor, certified resilience recovery coach, a public speaker, and mom. As a comedic actress, Jessica appeared on shows like Comedy Central’s MADtv, Jamie Foxx Sketch Comedy Show, Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh, and the list goes on. A few years into her acting career she spiraled into a nonfunctioning alcoholic, destroying all of her relationships and her career. Luckily, she completely turned her life around. She was able to overcome her addiction, and since then, has embraced a life of forgiveness, gratitude, love and sobriety.

Her story is fascinating and I was so excited that she agreed to come on the show to share it with us. Hope you enjoy our chat!

Tricia Lewis of Recovery Happy Hour

Tricia Lewis of Recovery Happy Hour

Today's interview is with the one and only Tricia Lewis. Tricia was the host of the podcast Recovery Happy Hour. She recorded, edited, and published over 130 episodes! She’s had dozens and dozens of meaningful conversations that remind us that sobriety is worth celebrating, and that life doesn’t stop when you stop drinking. Tricia stopped drinking in November of 2016 and features a wide range of stories and perspectives on her podcast.

Now I, along with thousands I’m sure, were heartbroken last year when our beloved Tricia ended her show. I remember listening to that last episode over and over again, thinking to myself… “Noooo, maybe I heard it wrong… she can’t really be done?!” I felt this way because her podcast changed my life. Her show provided me with hope, it inspired me, and it reminded me every episode that we’re not alone in this. There’s nothing wrong with us, this is just our thing. What I loved most about her show was that it focused on the good, kinda like what we’ve got going on here.

She’s been role model for me since day one and I will forever be grateful for the impact she’s had on my life. Here’s our chat…
