    The Evolution of Strategic IT and building your "plural" career with Andy Walter

    In this episode of the Decision Back Podcast, I sat down with Andy Walter. Andy spent 26 years at Procter & Gamble, serving as Senior Vice President of IT and Global Shared Service, CIO of Western Europe, Vice President of Digital Marketing & E-Commerce, among other positions. After retiring in 2016, Andy went on to pursue his "plural career", founding AJW advisory, serving as a strategic advisor and board director to large enterprises and startups alike, including EPAM systems, Fractal Analytics and of course, Clearbox Decisions. We had a great conversation on how IT functions are evolving to be more strategic to their organizations and how Andy discovered his plural career. Andy has recently published a book called "Waiting is not an action", in which Andy reflects on lessons from his career and how others can pursue more fulfilling, more dynamic careers.     Better marketing decisions through Ai

    In this weeks episode of the Decision Back podcast, Lanny sits down with Jim Lecinski to discuss how companies can implement Artificial intelligence for better marketing decisions. Jim is a associate professor of marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.  Prior to coming to Kellogg, Jim spent three decades in the marketing industry, most recently twelve years at Google, where he was Vice President of Customer Solutions for the Americas. His seminal book about the new marketing model, “Winning the Zero Moment of Truth” known as “ZMOT” (pronounced: "Zhee MAHT”) was published in 2011, and has been read by over 300,000 marketers worldwide and was featured in the New York Times, Advertising Age and Forbes. His newest project, “The AI Marketing Canvas: A Five Stage Roadmap to Implementing Artificial Intelligence in Marketing” was published by Stanford University Press in Spring 2021.
