Ep. 40 -39 Things You Might Not Know About Me
🌟 In this episode, I'm sharing 39 things that you might not know about me. Why 39? Because I'm turning 39 this month!
It's not a regular episode. It's a raw, real, and unfiltered peek into who I am – from family dynamics to mental health struggles, personal growth, relationships, and everything in between. 🌿✨
I talk about growing up influenced by '90s purity culture, early marriage, motherhood, and the work I've done on self-discovery, including being diagnosed with ADHD at 34.
This episode is not about platitudes or sugar-coating life – it's about being real with you. Coaches are regular people too. I hope you'll find a sense of solidarity, reflect on your own journey, and feel more compassionate toward all parts of you. 🌈🌻
This episode is a reminder that every decision – big or small – shapes our narratives. It's a heartfelt invitation to explore the intricacies of our stories, celebrate resilience, and find beauty in the messy, unfiltered tapestry of life. 🌸

Ep. 39 - What to Do When Things Aren't Changing
In the this episode, I discuss a topic that's close to my heart - making peace with our past and allowing ourselves to move forward without feeling stuck. I share a story about one of my clients who's been struggling with shame and the belief that she needs to change her feelings about her past to move forward.
Key takeaways from the episode:
- Stop using coaching or therapy against yourself: Sometimes we get stuck in trying to change our thoughts or feelings, leading to a constant struggle. It's okay to accept our genuine feelings and beliefs and find a new way forward.
- Embrace your current reality: Instead of fighting against your thoughts and emotions, consider how you can move forward while acknowledging and accepting them.
- Focus on who you are becoming: It's essential to redirect your energy towards the person you are becoming and how you want to show up in the world, rather than getting caught up in changing unchangeable aspects of yourself.

Ep. 38 - Hope is Not a Strategy
Hope is not a strategy. Hope is not going to get you the end result that you want. It has got to be a decision, because a decision has a plan.
In this episode, I'm sharing the way I started thinking about decisions differently, and how this has become THE most important thing in my life, and in the work I do. I'll also clarify what a "decision" really includes, so that you can start making some for yourself.

Ep. 36 - 5 Mistakes You Make with Goals
Are your goals clear? Are they accurate? Are they even attainable?
After setting goals with clients for years, I'm telling you about the top 5 mistakes I see people make when they talk about what they're wanting to achieve.
Make sure you aren't making these same mistakes because doing so will quite possibly make your goals harder to achieve - if they're even achievable in the first place.
And if you want to set goals and work with me to reach them, I'm taking 1:1 clients. Schedule a free consultation at www.kimberlymathis.com or connect with me on Instagram @thekimberlymathis

Customer Reviews
A whole mood!
Kimberly is a brilliant coach and thought leader. Her episodes are clear and concise with understandable and actionable strategy for overall wellness. Thank you so much for generously sharing your profound wisdom!
Not so much
I’m the kind of listener that likes to see who the podcaster is by going to their social links, website (if they have them), and tracking their work for a while.
Having done all of the above, I can honestly say that this podcaster has a disjointed presence (maybe even juvenile) and it is concerning that she gives advice and encourages listeners to use her coaching service. Everything from posting a video of her dancing wildly while drinking a beer, to what appears as a midlife crisis packaged as bucking the system can be found in what she puts out.
What has finally gotten me to leave a review is that one, she asked her listeners to evaluate her work and two, the May 3rd podcast where she discusses some rather personal medical issues of one of her sisters that, in my opinion, isn’t exactly ethical to do. Especially when she willfully admits that her sister has some mental conditions that may not render her able to give consent for that information to be shared.
Yes, decisions change everything (somewhat generic name) and her decisions to post and produce some of the things she does changes my perception of her and frankly, the coaches that associate with her.
Lastly, the podcast started off feeling strong but has since seemed to become repetitive.
A can’t miss podcast
Love!
