    Deck Pals #16: 2023 GotY Special

    The orchestra plays their harmonising note, the audience shuffle in their seats in anticipation, the curtains part to reveal a plethora of stunning games! It's the 2023 Game of the Year Deck Pals Special! We've played a huge amount of games this year! What's that? Chloe only played Baldur's Gate 3? Jenny and Darren have played a huge amount of games this year! Huh? Jenny only played a handful of indies? Darren has played a huge amount of games this year! And we're ready to talk about all of them! Listen as the pals narrow down their list of nominees to a solid 5, all of which get their very own unique award to signify their greatness!     Deck Pals #15: Cosy Games

    It's cosy season, so we're getting all snuggled up by the fire and talking about the games that give us that sense of ease and calm for the holiday season. Of course, cosy is subjective in nature, so whether you like a retro Hello Kitty themed party game, a classic nordic-inspired RPG, or a Japanese JRPG/Slice of Life, there's sure to be something here to make you relax and let out a sigh of calming relief. But it doesn't stop there, we discuss potential red flags in Hello Kitty's relationship, the origins of Jenny's OC character and whatever the hell "You're so gorgeous Panther!" means. In an attempt to indoctrinate Darren into the Neo cult, we offer a whistle stop tour through the latest gossip and things to do for fun on the site. From the giddy heights of not understanding the stock market to the passionate pursuit of forgetting to play enough AC games to qualify for a participation medal.
