    Today I'm chatting with Sarah Ashton from Matresences Matters. I'm so excited to introduce you to today's guest, he’s making waves in the birth world and I'm so grateful to have him on! Today I'm speaking with Nathan Riley MD, Nathan is a board-certified OB/GYN and hospice and palliative care physician he is also the host of The Holistic OBGYN. Podcast. Nathan, as he describes it, is a recovering conventional doctor.  He was in school for most of his life, trained in two medical specialties, then looked back and found himself disillusioned with the conventional maternity care model. Now, instead of serving the medical industrial complex, he serves women and their partners in achieving vitality. Nathan has done extensive study in holistic lifestyle medicine, and his practice is based on the midwifery model. The ROP institute use a Framework to help individuals strengthen their sense of self, learn critical life skills, discover their potential and create a healthy vision for the future. They are working to create a world where all people and communities thrive.  Now you may be wondering how this relates to you and your children. In modern society we have lost most Rites of Passage and instead we see young people trying to create their own, often with disastrous consequences.
