Dale is my Podcast Crush. I can’t get enough of this surreal adventure over the digital airwaves. I like to pretend that Dale gives me life advice in each episode. Oh, and the guest are great too!
Wonderful Brilliant Surprise
I literally have no idea how I came across this podcast (ick I hate that phlegm-in-the-throat sound of that word … let me call it: 'an interview show’?) and yikes, now I’m ruined … I listen to this thing all the time! The guy has the most deliciously absurd-meets-deep-comic-insight, kind-and-real voice and style … a sophisticated warmth with no snark but with a wonderful comic bite. He’s prepared, asks way-out left-field questions that seem to inspire his guests … most of whom I’ve never heard of and yet his are way more interesting conversations than the usual late night sell-a-thons with the predictable celebs. Bottom line: I love it! - it’s a creation of some sort of intimate late-night-radio vibe from the 50’s or 60’s … genuine though, with not a touch of campy-ness. I mean, how late am I to this party!? WHO IS THIS GUY???? Me: I have the attention span of a gnat; so the idea that I find listening to this show and its interviews to be calming, charming .. and hilarious .. is, for me, well … just listen to this dude!
