    Lisa McLean is a local bodybuilder and in 2019 earned her IFBB Pro status. After beginning bodybuilding in 2016 she competed in a total of 6 amateur shows. After winning 2 National Canadian competitions and winning her pro-card she is the only professional bodybuilder currently residing in Thunder Bay. Her passions of martial arts and cheerleading as a teen combined with a love of lifting weight brought her to the success she's had so far in the sport of bodybuilding. Lisa is 36 years old and a mother to a very active 10 year old son. She provides online weights training programming and assists clients with lifestyle dieting as well.

    Dr Mario Nucci MD CCFP is a licensed Family Physician practicing in Hospital Medicine and Mental Health. He also has a cosmetic medicine practice called Medical Esthetics Thunder Bay. Locally born and raised in Thunder Bay, he received his MD from the University Calgary and residency training through Queens University. His biggest passion is medical innovation and he enjoys travelling far and wide to train and learn about cutting edge and futuristic medical treatments and bring them back to Thunder Bay. He is actively conducting research on molecular mechanisms of mental health disorders and human longevity biomarkers in collaboration with Lakehead University’s Biotechnology faculty.

    Deep Superior Episode 002- Matt Richer

    Matt Richer is the owner and head trainer of Leading Edge Gym since 1999. Matt has successfully coached many fighters in various styles such as mixed martial arts, boxing, kick boxing and wrestling. Matt holds various accolades in several martial arts modalities listed as follows: Black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, 1st degree black belt and professor under Daniel Moroney, 1st degree black belt in Shintani Wado Kai Karate 1982 , 1st degree black belt in Wado Ryu Korate Do 1985, 2nd degree black belt in Wado Ryu, 1st degree black belt in combat Hapkido 1998, 2nd degree black belt in combat Hapkido 2001. Matt also has various other impressive achievements such as conducting self defense workshops for both men and women from 2000 to the present. 2018 He started Street Safe NWO teaching self defense to individuals and groups small and large. Matt has coached many provincial and national medalists. In 2019 Matt was awarded outstanding coach award from Boxing Ontario. He's worked City Transit from 1988 until the present and is both a loving husband and father to two sons.

    Deep Superior Episode 001- Erin May

    Erin May, Advanced Structural Integration Practitioner and 1000+hr Certified Yoga Instructor has been teaching movement classes, Pilates, Yoga, meditation and practicing bodywork for 23 years. She studied in Boulder Colorado and returned to Thunder Bay in 1994 to open The Bodymind Centre, a multifaceted holistic wellness centre that focuses on the mind-body connection in health, helping people to optimize their lives. She is the mother of two children Sky and Ocean. Erin teaches the Vagal breathing in a special class on Wednesdays at the BMC as well as giving seminars in the community. She loves to share Healing Touch modalities and Loving kindness meditation as well.  Erin is currently leading a Vagal breathing group of about 20 people for the last three-months everyone is reporting great results in pain reduction, mental clarity, heart arrhythmia cessation, alleviating depression and their overall sense of well being and happiness has gone up.
