    Danny Bohn & Glenn Mappus

    Episode 177 is on the scene and we catch up with this past weekend's SMART Modified Tour Powered by Pace-O-Matic winner from Anderson Motor Speedway Danny Bohn. Bohn reveals to the boys the first time he saw  the race track was this past weekend, how he feels at home on the SMART tour, how he has quickly gelled with the Andretti Racing Team and how he's preparing for the upcoming King of the Modifieds in less than two weeks. We also dive into a deep dive of the second race of the season for the tour and hear from Luke Baldwin who rebounded from a crash in last week's event. The STAR Super Stock Tour also competed at Anderson Motor Speedway. You will hear from Jeff Melton who won the second of the twin races while Glenn Mappus joins us on the phone to discuss his first tour win, his racing career and why he took a nearly decade hiatus from racing.  We review the racing weekend from Phoenix which saw a fantastic O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race and Ryan Blaney scoring his first Cup Series win of the season.  Missed shifts have come to light again after Speed Week at Southern National and we debate that topic as to why that is plus we preview the ASA event at Five Flags, the Easter Bunny 200 at Hickory, NASCAR at Las Vegas, winners from the weekend and cover some of the news in racing this week on DLN!

    Zach Brewer Memorial Winner Brandon Ward & Brayden Goddard

    Episode 176 is on the scene with the winner of the SMART Modified Tour Season Opening Zach Brewer Memorial at Florence Motor Speedway, Brandon Ward. Brandon describes this win as the biggest win of his entire career and dives into the personal meaning of this win. We also discuss the growth of Kevin Powell Motorsports and having to fend off Jack Baldwin and Danny Bohn during Saturday's event. We also give our full review of the event.  We also welcome Brayden Goddard to the show. Brayden is looking to run the entire IHRA Stock Car Series this season while juggling being a college student, a firefighter, serving at his church and running his own screen printing business. The Tennessee native also takes you behind the scenes of how he started his career in racing which only spans less than five years and his days in the Southeast Super Truck Series. We give a full review of the season opening event for the zMAX CARS Tour from Southern National Motorsports Park. Caden Kvapil made it back to back dating back to the finale from last year but this time he had to come from the 29th starting spot. We discuss the last restart which saw Doug Barnes Jr confront the winner after the race in victory lane. We also touch on Lee Pulliam and Chad McCumbee putting on a racing clinic at the front of the field, Mason Walters picking up a Pro Late Model win and some of the other stories coming out of Southern National.     2026 zMAX CARS Tour Preview Show with Brandon White and James Pike

    Episode 175 is on the scene! Unfortunately, JoJo wasn't able to make it this week as we preview the upcoming 2026 zMAX CARS Tour season. Joining Julian this week is Brandon White of NASCAR Regional who has covered the CARS Tour in some capacity since 2017 and Flo Racing's James Pike who you will see roaming the pits for each tour event! We dive into all the stories going into the season. With four of the top five drivers in the points for 2025 not running full time as of this moment, the opportunity is there for some new faces to make an impact in a season that probably has more questions than answers. Caden Kvapil comes into the season driving for JR Motorsports and after his performance at the end of 2025, he may be the favorite to win it all in 2026. Landon Huffman returns to Carrol Speedshop and may have something to say about that coming off of a top five finish in points a year ago. Parker Eatmon, Donovan Strauss, Brandon Pierce, Ryan Millington, Chase Burrow among others are in new rides this season and will be looking to make their impact along with returning favorites Chad McCumbee, Ronnie Bassett Jr and Carson Loftin. Lee Pulliam Performance is back this year with Carson Brown who has already turned heads in the ASA STARS Tour and is on a developmental deal with Richard Childress. Lee himself will be running this weekend and we discuss if a win would propel him to full time going forward.  We also discuss Keelan Harvick signing with Toyota Racing Development, the new facilities coming to the tour this year, what's happening on the Pro Late Model Scene and we make our picks for the season opener at Southern National and for the LMSC title hunt.  It is as comprehensive of a tour preview show that you will find anywhere on the scene!     The Revitalization of Lonesome Pine Raceway with Joey Owens

    Episode 173 is on the scene to discuss the revitalization of Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn Virginia. In order to do that, we welcome the promoter of the speedway and short track racer in his own right, Joey Owens to the show. We discuss what led him to taking on this project, what all needs to be done before opening day in April, and so much more. We give our thoughts on the World Series of Asphalt so far at New Smyrna and give our thoughts about Justin Bonsignore's first win at the track in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on Saturday in their opener for 2026. The IceBreaker was held at Florence Motor Speedway on Saturday in South Carolina. Keelan Harvick won his first ever Late Model Stock event in fairly convincing fashion.     Gary Smith

    Episode 170 is on the scene and we welcome Gary Smith to the show. Gary is the defending Legend's Division Champion at Franklin County Speedway and he talks about his 2025 season which saw him compete at Franklin County, Shenandoah Speedway, Ace, Natural Bridge and others. He discusses his photo finishes that he was involved in during the season, which is his favorite short track, why he sold his Stock 4 and his aspirations of moving up in class for 2026. It still may be January but we had some racing this weekend at Tucson Raceway in Arizona and at the Chili Bowl in Tulsa Oklahoma. Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell may have been the favorites but it was 21 year old Emerson Axsom taking home the Golden Driller on Saturday. Kevin Harvick taught young Keelan a lesson on Saturday during the CARS Tour West series event at Tucson while Kole Raz won the Chilly Willy 150 on Sunday. We talk about where Kole ranks among Super Late Model and Pro Late Model stars and whether "East Coast Bias" is in play for West Coast Racers.  The boys also reveal some things they are looking forward to in the 2026 season, some names to look out for this weekend at Speedfest at Cordele and how many days should you wait till you see a doctor since both hosts are sick this week.
