    Edge Infrastructure as Code: So What?

    In the past, when a company wished to quickly scale up their services, they had to weigh the cost of obtaining and supporting new technology infrastructure. If they overextended themselves, they could run the risk of falling flat on their face. Underbuilding, however, means that they fail to maximize available market share or growth. The solution is Infrastructure-as-Code. IaC is quickly gaining traction in both the public and private sectors, thanks to its ability to manage the ebbs and flows of demand for technology services.     DevOps: So What?

    DevOps is the digital assembly line. Historically, developers have created their product and handed it over to another team responsible for ensuring that the product itself was secure. This caused numerous problems and delays in delivering software as questions are asked and answered, problems solved, work redone, and so on. DevOps melds the two functions of Development and Operations, meaning that as products are developed, security and operational considerations are accounted for during the build process, saving everyone time and money. The result is, in essence, a digital assembly line.
