Before the Fellowship Podcast
Three friends read and react to the greatest story you've never heard — the Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien.
The Rings of Power comes to Amazon, but nothing compares to the real story JRR Tolkien wrote. Is the Silmarillion his masterpiece? The Silmarillion is a book everyone should read, but it can be intimidating. Go on a journey with us.
Witness the creation of Tolkien's universe, meet the villain that's bigger and badder than Sauron, and hear a love story that will leave you in tears. We are not experts, we're just fans like you. And we're having a blast going through this masterpiece of fiction, 15 minutes at a time. Grad a cup of tea or your favorite scotch (or your steering wheel!) and join us every week!

Customer Reviews
Shaped my motherhood!
I left I review ages ago, but I just noticed that I think it disappeared! This is such a wonderful podcast and all of the episodes are worth re-listening to. Amber is so dear to me and she is so calm and humble. I love the episodes with her, the ones with guests, and especially the ones with her and Cameron. You guys are hilarious! Thank you for this ministry!
My favorite podcast!
If you are in the trenches of “new parenthood,” this is the Catholic podcast for you! Cameron and Amber have given me so much to reflect on, and I have sent several specific episodes to friends (which ends up being the main topic of conversation next time we talk). I am loving the new, casual format.
Thank you Amber and Cameron for sharing your insights with us and for your vulnerability! 🎄
Spiritual Growth with a Side of Humor
This is one of my new favorite podcasts. Amber and Cameron’s episodes are well researched and thoughtful. They are able to educate and inspire the audience on core tenants of the Catholic faith while managing to keep things light-hearted and humorous. I’m left feeling content after these episodes, like I’ve just spent an afternoon with good friends.
