Dicey Tales

I am just past episode 14 and love every minute of it. By the end of the first episode I knew I loved the way Robert (Pelteaor?) played his character (in a very similar style that I like playing magic-users) ...and the voice OMG it sold be by the first sentence to Goba on the slave boat. Keep up the great dicey work and keep your kitty familiar safe.

The podcast sucked me in since episode one. I love the DM’s storytelling and the players are memorable and really funny!

I listen to a lot of podcasts, and let's be honest- most podcasters think that they can just sit down, hit record, and then toss it onto their RSS feed and expect it to be good quality. The most important part of producing any kind of media is something many people don't even know about- and that's editing. Dicey Tales is an Actual Play podcast, but unlike the majority of them out there, they don't just record a session of D&D and then call it a day- every episode is edited to remove all of the unnecessary noise and non-game-related banter, and not only that, but they enhance the experience with sound effects, music, and plenty of atmoshphere to get you right there in the middle of battle along with the rest of the characters. The sound may not be perfect 100% of the time, but whatever may be lacking is more than made up for in post-production, and I'm confident it'll keep getting better with each episode. But the technical side isn't all of it. The group has great chemistry, they all know the rules and how best to involve themselves in the game, and although the story takes a few episodes to get really going, it starts with a bang and hasn't had a lull yet. I can tell that everyone involved is excited about what they're doing, and when playing a group game like D&D that can make all the difference. So this is a great podcast, and I'll keep listening as long as they make new episodes!
