    Blackmail, Tattoos & Bad Decisions (Game On)

    Send me a message! This week I'm talking about Game On, by Navessa Alan, the third book in the Into Darkness series. This one had a little bit of everything, blackmail, underground gambling, fake dating, family secrets, tattoos, and enough drama to keep me entertained. We also need to discuss that plot twist, the family drama, and the ending... because I definitely have thoughts. Plus, I may or may not have listened to one of the spiciest scenes while wandering around a store by myself, and I was convinced my headphones were about to betray me. Did we read the same book?

This week I'm discussing the characters, the pacing, the twists, and the crossover that have me immediately reaching for the next book. Did we read the same book?

    I Went From DNF to Emotional Breakdown (Cresent City)

    Send me a message! This week I finally forced myself to read House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas…after attempting it FOUR separate times. Did I understand everything? No.  Did I spend most of the book confused? Absolutely.  Did I end up emotionally devastated anyway? Unfortunately, yes. We’re talking murder, demons, magical drugs, broody fallen angels, friendship trauma, portals to hell, and me literally crying in traffic towards the end.

    Where is The Sign-Up Sheet for a Book Boyfriend? (Her Soul for Revenge)

    Send me a message! In this episode we visit a similar storyline but with new characters and point of view. This week I read Her Soul for Revenge by Harley Laroux.  This one was not very original, but it offered a lot of action and spice. Maybe too much spice for my taste...but I finished it anyway!

This week I’m reviewing Ask for Andrea by Noelle Ihli, a fast-paced thriller told from the POV of three murdered girls trying to get justice from beyond the grave.  Messy thoughts, honest reactions, and my final verdict—was it actually good?

    I Summoned a Demon for Views… Now What? (Her Soul to Take)

    Send me a message! This week on Did We Read the Same Book?, I dive into Her Soul to Take by Harley Laroux… completely blind. No synopsis. No prep. Just vibes. What I thought was a dark romance quickly turned into demons, sacrifices, creepy cult energy, and a VERY bold main character making questionable life choices. We’ve got:  – A ghost-hunting YouTuber who accidentally summons a demon   – A morally gray (but hot??) demon named Leon  – A grimoire, a cult, and a sacrifice plot that escalates FAST  – And yes… spice. A lot of it. Did we read the same book?

    I Trusted NO ONE in This Book… And I Was Kinda Right (Little Secrets)

    Send me a message! This week we’re diving into Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier and… I have QUESTIONS! We start with every parent’s worst nightmare- a child disappearing in seconds and somehow it only gets MORE chaotic from there. Cheating husbands, stalking, secret apps, emotional breakdowns, and yes… a hitman??? I went in blind, built about 15 different theories, trusted absolutely no one, and changed my mind every five minutes. By the end… I was right, but also confused. So tell me…  did we read the same book?

    My Favorite Spider Alien Friendship (Project Hail Mary)

    Send me a message! This week I reread Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir and I forgot just how much science is in this book… and how much I absolutely do NOT understand it. But somehow that doesn’t matter because the story is so good. The real highlight of this book though? Rocky the alien “spider rock” who ends up becoming Grace’s best friend. Their friendship honestly carried the whole story for me. I loved the characters and the emotional moments, but the ending left me with a lot of questions… mostly about what actually happened on Earth after everything was supposedly saved. Let me know, did you love the ending or were you also hoping for an epilogue?
