This WW1-themed death metal album was deemed so good, that the band decided to stop recording once it was released. And yet, it's got a reputation as one of those albums that loads of people have heard of, but never listened to. This record was a critical smash for the band, but is a long way from being a fan favourite and seems to have fallen out of the conversation.     Didn't Go Platinum travels to Germany, circa 2006, to look at what may be the best metalcore album that most of you have never heard of: it's When Worlds Collide by Maroon.     S3, E1: The Harvest Floor by Cattle Decapitation

    New year, new series: Didn't Go Platinum returns to look at more unloved and underrated metal albums, and we're starting off with some vegetarian death metal. Host Tim Bolitho-Jones is joined by Ebony Jeanette to discuss The Harvest Floor, the 2009 release by Cattle Decapitation. This album has gone overlooked in favour of their later work, but is an important transitional work and a major piece of the Cattle Decapitation puzzle. Discover why it deserves more love.     S2, Episode Twenty: All Hail by Norma Jean

    Didn't Go Platinum wanders back into the metalcore realm. For this episode, we're taking a deep dive into All Hail by Norma Jean. The Georgia veterans were among the first wave of metalcore bands to threaten the mainstream, but have tended to be overshadowed by their more famous peers. All Hail is their eighth full-length album, and it's a cracker. This record was suggested by the horror writer Molly Macabre, who joins regular host Tim Bolitho-Jones to discuss why All Hail might have got lost in the mix. Along the way, the duo also talk about the practicalities of fighting zombies with a nailgun and precisely what the difference is between regular and Christian metalcore.     S2, Episode Nineteen: In Disgust We Trust by Mistress

    Didn't Go Platinum dives into the British metal underground of the 2000s, to discuss a band that scared the living daylights out of Tim when he was a fresh-faced, wide-eyed young metalhead: it's Mistress and their excellent third album, In Disgust We Trust. Joining him for this foray into filth is none other than Jon Rhodes of Rotherham's finest sludge maestros, Swamp Coffin. They discuss the rather frayed relationship between Mistress and their record label, the grimy appeal of the UK scene, and how a certain black metal band are reminiscent of In The Night Garden.
