    Managing Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EOE)

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EOE) is a tricky condition to treat. The symptoms mimic other more common GI conditions, so it may go underrecognized. Plus, the steps to achieving remission can be complicated and confusing for patients. That’s where a skilled and savvy dietitian can help! In this episode, Sara Glanz, MS, RD, LD, CNSC gives you a crash course on EOE so you can be ready the next time this condition walks through your door.

PKU episode

I think it’s fantastic to cover metabolics. Be with this complex topic I would recommend connecting with a metabolic RD since some of the information provided was incorrect.

Disappointed

Just listened to the ECMO Episode. Very disappointed by the lack of useful info on how to address an ECMO pt in terms of nutrition. Waiting weeks and weeks for nutrition?? I hope my family will never be in that ICU! Even a MD who barely addresses nutrition would be feeding the pt well before then. Most likely glucerna bc “they’re diabetic” 🙄. I’ll try other episodes and I hope they are more helpful w specifics and address common associations with disease states. Ie ~70% of ECMO pts have AKI, how is this addressed? What are the fluid needs with these pts?
