The Dig Deep podcast is a space for parents, caregivers and individuals who are interested in doing just that. Each podcast will provide psycho-education, tips, tools, as well as a Faith-Based approach to parenting and emotional processing! The goal of each podcast is to help parents reparent themselves so they can effectively parent their children, creating "Safe Spaces" for their children and themselves to thrive mentally, emotionally, and spiritually!     Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)is an evidence based therapeutic modality that is often used to help clients identify and deconstruct negative thought patterns. This exercise walks you through how you can use this simple strategy to identify how a situation triggers your thoughts, how that thoughts impact your feelings, and how your feelings impact the way you act/behave. This simple tool can help increase the parents personal awareness and it’s a simple strategy that they can use to help their child increase their feelings vocabulary and process their feelings and thoughts.
